49ers interviewing asst GM Beane

I can't wait. Just imagine us having to turn over almost our entire defensive coaching staff, yet the offense isn't touched. Yet they want to change on offense and Im sure they want continuity on defense.

None of this is leaving me terribly optimistic I have to admit.

For all those who have been screeching about how bad our management and coaching is, please understand that roughly half the teams in the league would give anything to have what we're working with. Another fourth of the league would at least consider seriously trading for our staff as a group.

And all but say the top five teams would probably like to come through and pick up a piece or two from our staff here.

This is a quality organization, hands down. If we're lucky, we won't be raided to heavily, but there are some good folks who have the ability and deserve to move up if the offer comes their way.

Legit possibility.

If anyone leaves it would be MCD imo. Wilks will stay and take our D.C. Job, plus he's assistant HC why would he leave that. Beane probably won't leave because he will replace Getty when he retires or leaves. We may be ok.

what are you talking about lol?

I should say "successor". Gettleman is going to be 66 next month and eats like crap. Beane is 40 and has been with the Panthers since '98, assistant GM as of now learning under Gettleman the past few years. It would be a coup to lose him now since he's clearly the man being groomed for the GM job.
