Would anyone be interested in a board-wide Mock Draft? If so sign up here, and I'll explain how it works.

It's the offseason, we're not in the playoffs and what we're mainly looking forwards to right now is our top 10 pick in the NFL Draft.  So if you're a draft geek like myself, a great thing to do to pass the time can be to do a huge Mock Draft?  Basically, I'll open sign ups below and I'll make all 32 teams available to sign up for.  Once every team has been claimed (it will be a first come, first serve basis) we'll do a huge mock draft where you basically control a team.  It can last one round or we can do all 7, whatever you guys are up for.  I think we could get about three good rounds in.  I was thinking a 12 hour clock per pick, because I know people are busy and don't have time to constantly be checking this forum.  I'd even be alright with pushing it up to a 24 hour clock if you guys think that would be better.  We would just make one big thread where all the picks are made, and we could even move it to the NFL Draft section once we get enough people to sign up.  Trades would be allowed too.  Basically, if you're picking 13th and want to move up to 7, you can PM the user that has control of the seventh pick.  If you guys agree to a trade, just send it my way for approval.  I guess I'll kinda be like the commish.  Say the guy picking 13th gave up his third round pick to move up to 7.  I would take note of that, and that user would acquire the third round pick once it comes along.  With every pick, you would simply make a post of who you are taking and a few sentences as to why.  After that, the next man up is on the clock.  I don't know if there will be interest for this or not, but I did one once and it was fun.  I'll open up sign ups now, teams will be distributed on a first come, first serve basis.  That's the fairest way I can do it.  I won't pick the Panthers, I'll go with the Jets I guess.

    • Malcom Spence is the best player remaining, hope he’s there.
    • The era that you played in, and, more importantly, who you played with actually matters. Honestly, that's why these issues will be debated forever, as it's just difficult to say that this person or that person is better when you're discussing the passage of time. As for me, after Rice, Moss and maybe Megatron and T.O., there's probably a dozen or so guys that can be argued about to the cows come home. Personally, I'm not putting Fitz, Harrison, Johnson, Evans, or especially D-Hop, Jefferson, Chase or Hill definitely in front of Smitty (and Colston ain't even in the discussion). Context and all that stuff actually matters. Things like the triple crown matter.
    • Some of those guys? Yeah honestly you can.  I would 100% take Steve Smith over Larry Fitzgerald, Harrison, even Mike Evans. He is 100% a better player than those guys in his prime. If you look at the numbers Smith is historically under targeted in comparison to his contemporaries. He was only targeted 150 times or more only once in his career. Fitzgerald for example was targeted well above that 9 different seasons. Had Smith played with Peyton, Brady, Greatest Show on Turf, or even with Warner in Arizona he would broken records. His 2008 season was ridiculous accumulating 1400 yards in 13 games on less than 80 receptions. All time he also lost a season due to injury in 04, barely played WR as a rookie. Got robbed of 1k season with Clausen. Thats easily another 1800yds minimum that should have been tacked on to his #s. The only guys I’d say for certain are better than Smith are Rice, Moss, TO, Megatron, Julio Jones, Antonio Brown.
