Would you watch a Falcons-Patriots Super Bowl?

For me it is an easy answer.  NO.  The game is on at 2:30 in the morning.  (Iraq time)

But in my heart as much as I dislike Atlanta I will NEVER,  REPEAT NEVER, pull for the Cheatriots.  EVER.

They cheated the Rams and Carolina for sure and have no doubt they have tired to cheat every super bowl.   I am sure they will try anything they can to cheat Atlanta.

The Birds have earned the right to be there.   They deserve an even game.   I am sure the refs are out to put Tom Brady above every other QB in the Super Bowl Era with 5 rings.   The Super Bowl is about the NFL doing what they feel is best for the game.  Carolina and now Atlanta are good stories but Manning going out on top and Brady breaking THE tie with Bradshaw with the number of Super Bowl wins is more important and the Refs will ensure the outcome is for New England.

Of course I'd watch. What sort of CHUMP takes the GAME so seriously that a "rival" making the game makes them mad? Jesus. The Pats beat the Panthers a LONG time ago. Let it go. Atlanta is good this season. Get over it.

I don't think it makes someone a CHUMP. I watch Panthers football and only watch other games if I have some sort of vested interest in it like fantasy players or gambling. I can't stand either of these teams so watching it just for shits and giggles is not appealing to me at all. That being said, I will be in Vegas on super bowl Sunday so maybe a few hundred dollars on the over would give me that vested interest I'm looking for to watch.

So are you secretly an Atlanta fan posing as Carolina? Or did Matt Ryan suck you off last night or something? I mean if you want to be a Falcons fan that's fine, not really but, just stop be so dubious about it.

Damn man...i thought you showed your lack of comprehension in your last reply when you completely missed the point. ( good competition makes stronger competitors) but you chose to mention all the sports you played as if the concept of what I said is null and void. Like most...the bigger picture went way over your head and you could respond only to the perceived insult.  But then looked me up to come at me again? Lame bro. Lame

Obviously I'm not a Falcon fan. But again...respect where it is deserved. And unlike all these other mofos around here gonna cry and be pissed off, have a bad 2 months if Atlanta wins...etc.......its not really that big of a deal.

Take a step back and just enjoy the game. It's an American tradition and celebration. Sit back and watch two teams bringing their best game plan and effort to impose their will on the other team, to see who comes out on top. Talent vs talent, mind vs mind. If you can't enjoy that as a football fan, I'm sorry for you .

I hope it's an exciting game that isn't decided until the last few seconds.

    • Just another 1st round QB that never paid off for the team that drafted them or traded for them. It's been like this since the SB began. 36 QBs have now won the SB & only 13 of them have been 1st rounders winning with their original team. Namath 1968, Griese 1972, Bradshaw 1974, McMahon 1985, Simms 1986, Aikman 1992, Elway 1997, Roethlisberger 2005, P.Manning 2006, E.Manning 2007, Rodgers 2010, Flacco 2012, & Mahomes 2019. Only 3 have taken longer than 5 seasons as the starter to win a SB.  4  6  5  4  6  4  15  2  9  4  3  5  2 [the years it takes for these 1st round QBs] 5  1  4  1  3  1  1  2  3  4  [10 of the 36 have won a chip with their 1st team that haven't been drafted in the 1st round. These are the years it took them as a starter] What stands out? Only 2 of these QBs have lost their first championship appearance. Elway took 4 years as a 1st rounder & Hurts took 2 years as a 2nd rounder. Of the 10 non-1st round QBs, 2 are 2nd rounders, 3 are 3rd rounders, 5 are 6th rounders or later. Please stop wasting time on drafting 1st round QBs with such a high failure rate. The remaining 13 QBs are traded or free agent signings. Stafford, Favre, Young, Williams and Dawson are the 5 trades. Peyton Manning & Tom Brady also won for teams as free agents on a short stay as well as being drafted. The lesson here is don't waste your franchise on farming up 1st rounders for the league, and steer clear of trading for a franchise QB. Stick to finding that championship QB by drafting them outside of the 1st round or through free agency.
    • I lost most of the respect I had for Fox in 2010. He should have resigned if he hated the job that much. Instead he stuck for his paycheck and let stuff go to hell.    I burned out on Ron too but my deal breaker issue with him was away from football and after he was gone from the Panthers. He may have been out of his depth but never quit on us.
    • From where they were one year ago to now, pretty incredible. I mean, say what you want about Vrabel he is no Jerrod Mayo.
