Atlanta DC fired, heads rolling

It's a fine line. In this case, I think they fired the wrong people but what do I know.

Anyway, remeber that time the browns fired Belichick?

I agree, its a fine line.  And if you fire someone, you better make sure that your replacement is better.  Marty Schottenheimer comes to mind.  San Diego fired him after a 14-2 season, but a first round playoff loss.  They hired Norv Turner, who certainly wasn't better.  They began a slide into mediocrity that they have yet to escape from and which probably played a role in their move to LA.

If this were Cleveland we would all be laughing and talking about how they will never be good unless they have consistency. Now with Atlanta everyone is applauding all these changes. Let be real here, until this year they have struggled the last few years and there is every likelihood they will struggle again. A few injuries and they could be like us this year- 6-10. Quinn had one good season so far. Hardly a reason to panic. His inexperience is showing.

If you wouldn't fire the HC for that debacle, as he's ultimately responsible for that epic choke job, then it looks awfully petty to offer up a sacrificial lamb just to make it look like blame has been addressed. Dick move by no class organization. They think they're solving problems, they're actually compounding them. And I love it.

The Falcon's OC accepted blame for the loss. What more do you need to know?

This has all the markings of an overreaction, a sacrificial lamb to take heat off the head coach, the person who should be ultimately responsible.

Atlanta had a great season, trounced their competition in the playoffs, and by all rights would have won the SB if not for some poor decisions on offense.

It's a wait and see approach, this seems like an emotional decision instead of evaluating the season as a whole. Frankly, Atlanta defense did enough to win the game by providing 2 TOs and 1 TD. They played over 90+ snaps. Offense not generating anything in the second half lost the game. I think they said Matt Ryan was 1-8 on 3rd down

I agree, although it is possible that the head coach and gm already had issues with the Dline coach and DC, and used this as an excuse to make the changes they already desired.

Can't really judge off the superbowl. For the entire season Atlantas defense wasn't that good, and they had plenty games where they blew leads.  I look at it as they know they can be better and it's better coaching options out there. You wanna be okay or do you want to be the very best u can be??

How many unanswered points did the Patriots score again?  Yet, with the same number of opportunities, the Falcons offense failed to score even three points.  Just 3 points would have made all the difference in the world.
