DE Sheldon Richardson For A Third Rounder?

The Jets are looking to trade Richardson before his final contract, and it looks like he's valued as a third rounder around the league.

After talking to some people around the league, the sense I get is that the Jets won't be able to get more than a third-round pick for him.

So question is, would you consider making this deal? He only finished with 1.5 sacks, yet if Mario Williams is now a possibility why not Richardson?

Don't know too much about him tbh, but right now all I know is he's been very unproductive.

No. Bust. Plus, he's a three technique DT in a 4-3. He's not a 4-3 edge rusher.

He plays the same position as KK in our scheme. Plus the immaturity issues.

Edit: Forgot to mention he would fight with teammates in the locker room and was caught saying before a game vs the Dolphins "Fug this game. Where the h*es at?"

If we lined up the lazy unmotivated players, i would pick Peppers and Mario first and Shelden wouldnt get picked.

There were some Panthers affiliated people who were saying we would have taken him over Star if he was still on the board, for what it's worth, which is nothing.

He was picked before we picked.. So in essence we never had a chance to pick him.

These Mizzou DEs are struggling as of late. Richardson, Ealy, and Sam. Didn't include Aldon Smith because his struggles weren't production related, he's just crazy and always in some poo.

he's due for a lot of money and plays very similar to KK. Also he has behavioral issues in the past. There is a reason the Jets are trying to unload him.

If he can get his off field issues in check, I'd be willing to part with a mid-late pick for him. He was playing MLB for a good portion of last year for the Jets; he is very athletic for 300lbs. Considering we may lose KK next year in FA, Richardson may be a cheaper option and be a good rotation player.

Hopefully the Cowboys will be stupid enough.  I remember #89 commenting about how refreshing it was seeing Star at home with family during the draft while Richardson was sporting Mr T level bling-bling one pick prior.  I was so relieved the Jets took him.  He's nearly hit for the cycle of arrests/character issues since.

He's a B- version of KK Short. He'd play 4-3 DT here. Most 3-4 DEs do. Plus he has off the field stuff while KK Short is better, already knows our system and we can FT him if we cant get a deal done.
