He does but he's cheap labor with experience.  Fournette OR Stew, Fozzy, and CAP may be it.  Use Stew's money on a LT or Star's extension.

Love all the overreaction on these boards.  Both Colin jones and fozzy Whittaker are solid at their roles. They will both count under $1 million in cap space. No one can officially sign anyone today and there hasn't been one major free agent linked to anyone today as a done deal.

Fozzy played pretty well in 2016.  A few games he was one of the only bright spots in our offense... I DO VERY MUCH want to see competition, but I'm quite happy keeping a guy who fits in well as depth.  But let the competition begin and may the best players make the 53.  I'd be ok with 1) Stew, 2) HIGH draft pick RB 3) Fozzy and a yet to be determined Fullback (the futures guy we signed from Washington (blanking on his name right now) or maybe Rockhead)

The Bersin deal is a head scratcher. Not mad about this or the Colin Jones deal. 

Locking up proven depth for super cheap is not a bad thing. Getting it out of the way now gives us a clearer picture of what we have to work with in terms of securing starting talent.

Fozzy has legitimate talent. I like this signing. If anything it tells me they are leaning to release Stewart. Which I would hope they do not do. 

Fournette, Stewart and Fozzy is hell on wheels.

Not sure I like this move but it is what it is. Hopefully they do not ignore Cam and the offense for another off-season.

Could we have honestly waited till after the 1st rush in FA's and the draft to sign fozzy if needed??

Is any other team beating down the Fozzy/Bersin/Horton door that we needed to lock them up??

You should look up his statistics from the last three years. His longest run was only 25 yards, and his longest reception was 26.  He's had a total of 3 touchdowns in three years.
