If your best receiver can't even eclipse 1000 yards and has drop issues, it may be wise to part ways.

It is if you plan on heavily investing into the position. A first round pick or trade should be expected. If not then this group will be weaker than last years, unless lightning strikes.

The last time he was forced to address the WR position he brought in a solid reliable pass catcher, drafted in a 1000 yard WR and a UDFA who ended up having an impact down the stretch, wasn't like it didn't end up being a complete disaster

Are you recalling the same year? Cam had to force feed Kelvin and Greg to move the ball. The other receivers did not have much production. Cotchery was okay for third downs, but he was suppose to be a touchdown scorer, which he wasn't.

You may also recall the many muffed punts, and cycle of punt returners.

Benjamin is very overrated I've noticed. Dude is not a #1 WR.

Benjamin has to improve in route running and constant effort which is teachable. We need to remember he is coming off a torn ACL. 2017 will be the year we know if we have a starter at WR or just a role player.

People forget 2014's Offseason, we acquired THE Antoine Cason, the aforementioned undesirables, started Amini (who's back now) and Byron Bell. I honestly don't know which Offseason of 2014 and 2016 was the worst.
