We're talking about the same fan base with a lot of "fans" who would like to see Cam replaced at QB. I've seen more than a few calling for us to draft either Watson or Trubisky.

Honestly this was a little low on the part of Voth, and considering how long he's been covering the team he should know better.

The reason Gettleman was so urgent to clear it up was the obvious element with blindsiding the player, Benjamin in this case, and creating an instance of a possible rift where there didn't need to be one. Just bad journalism.

It makes sense to do it, but it doesn't mean we'll be complacent with him, and he shouldn't feel complacent about himself either. 

I hope he puts it all together this year and the injury excuse is legitimate.

Also hope Funchess steps up this year as well. He's still super young, so hopefully he just needs to grow a bit, but if he doesn't show something this season then I'm sure plenty of people will be calling for his head.
