A Rittenhouse Boulevardier is a go to.

Rittenhouse is one of the best rye whiskeys and a boulevardier is just a fan-f*cking-tastic cocktail.

Had some Bushmills 12-year single-malt not too long ago and it was excellent. Very smooth and flavorful.

Not a whiskey drinker at all and I haven't been yet but I hear that this is a really cool tour for whiskey lovers. Located in an old prison that was shut down a few years ago. Southern Grace Distilleries in Mt. Pleasant NC. I pass it every day on my way to work and it's just a short ride up Rte 49 from Charlotte.
