Benjamin....what will DG do?

Word is that DG was going to pick up the five year option on him. That was before he rolled in overweight. The option is coming due on Wednesday and no signing so far. Possible that they let it slide by to send a message that this is bullshat. Either get with the program, play up yo potential.....or see ya. What you got?

@Jeremy Igo

Guys the 2 WR/RB we drafted can't play outside on a consistent basis (ask Randal Cobb) they where drafted as complimentary pieces.

KB is vital part of the offense , the player that should be getting the message is Devin Funchess.

I think its a non issue and will be resolved before training camp.

I dont think its a non issue, it shows a pattern of laziness. this is KB job and he is clearly not taking it seriously enough and thats not the kinda thing that goes unnoticed.

Benjamin for Watkins straight up

who says no

That's worse, at least Kelvin isn't injury prone.

But in reality its a non issue, takes a full year to get back from an injury and he still was shy of 1000 yards.

What kind of weight is he putting on?  If it is muscle, that will be hard to get rid of.  Yet if it is simply fat, there's no excuse, its a mentality problem.  Again if it is fat which we assume comes from the kind of food one eats, you're going to have to want to change your diet.  My mentality on such an issue would be easy, especially if I had the money KB has.  Eat organic (something we all should do more of) and cut out fast food.  Maybe only eat fast food once a week if necessary.

All of this comes down to mindset.  Personally, again if this is a weight problem dealing with food, if I had the resources available to me as it is available to KB, this wouldn't be a problem at all.  For most NFL players it's not a problem.  I'm not bashing him in any way.  It's just a mindset concerning these things.

If you watched the post-draft presser, DG did not seem happy at all.  Person asked Rivera about it, and he entertained him by answering it at length.  He said it was overblown.  Yes, he was concerned about his weight, but he has been coming in voluntarily.  Person then asked DG about it, who wasn't having it lol.  He gave Person a death stare and said, "Stick to the draft, Joe."

Man the Benjamin hate here is real...

The man put up just shy of 1,000 yards, on an offense that had a 1,000+ yard TE a YEAR after an ACL tear!!

What more could you ask for basically everyone's numbers were down across the offense...''why'' because our OL fell completely apart. You can't judge a QB/HB/WR/TE performance so harshly when the position group that creates the majority of that success is in shambles.

I for one am excited, the 2nd year after the ACL is usually when a player is finally all the way back, Funchess will get more reps, and we have guys underneath now in McCaffrey & Samuel that will limit how deep the underneat coverage can drop to help on the deep/intermediate targets to guys like KB, Funch, and Olsen. Not to mention all the above and a healthy OL should present some lighter boxes for Stewart.

    • I think you should see the OP for pretty big reasons why that is a completely incorrect take given this is a Dave Canales team.
    • TMac is a good player and would've been the right pick if our QB could throw a ball farther than 40 yards. For this team's current build (run first, game management passing attack) and the fact that our TE's are laughably bad - the five on our roster have combined for less than 600 yards total, with 3 TDs - Warren should've been the pick.
    • If anyone feels like they can't have a conversation about Bryce Young nearly three full seasons into his career maybe assess why and how these conversations end this way instead of looking to shoot the messenger. Why is it okay to label anyone else on the team or coaching staff trash? Folks on the huddle and across the fanbase on social media have fully thrown anyone and everyone including rookie 8th overall pick TMac fully under the bus multiple times this season. But some of you guys apparently expect a pat on the back because Bryce Young successfully evaded a few potential sacks while Tyler Shough got consumed by our pass rush throughout the game and still had a superior performance. The state of this division is hilariously mediocre at best. Bryce Young is the only player on this roster who is allowed to have the lowest bar possible yet we have invested the most resources in him. It's lunacy.
