Would you trade KB for a first next year?

Just a thought that popped into my head in response to Jeremy's article about KB being done here. If he truly may be done here past next year then why not try to trade him now? Let the offense get a jumpstart without him and have continuity for going forward. Don't know if we could get a first, but if we could would you trade him for one? What about a 2nd from a rebuilding team who'll likely be picking early?

Personally, I'm not ready to give up on him at all and hope we pick up his 5th year option and keep him, but it does seem like a possibility the team is getting tired of some of his sh*t going on. I mean, the TC before he got hurt he was looking like a Dez Bryant or AJ Green type of dominating player, and that was going up against Norman. I still feel he can get to that level here and while yes the offense seemed better without him, I don't think that means we can't make the offense work even better with him as well.

I don't think a first is that outrageous. KB wasn't any worse than Cooks who yielded the Aints a first. KB in NO with Brees throwing the ball 50 times a game would've had a bigger impact than Cooks there.

I would happily trade him for cooks.. So that should tell you who is more valuable

I'm not sure we were watching the same two players. Brandin Cooks was a much better player than KB last year.

You people drastically underestimate he value and talent of KB. Even captain said he was the only WR they were concerned with. He's a matchup nightmare and he's not the first talented young player to struggle with weight discipline. Trading him would be stupid. You guys act like he hasn't been productive he's been putting up numbers even the so called down year of last season.

Obviously they don't understand about complimentary pieces.

Just ask Green Bay when Nelson went out and Cobb tried to play outside.

    • The same folks crying about the OL right now were crying about it in 2023 too. We have tied up over 100 million dollars in two interior olinemen alone and we have Taylor Moton inked to a recent extension. We've invested multiple first and second round picks in the offense. We hired an offensive minded head coach. This is an offensive team. The offense needs to produce or people need to be replaced.
    • This is the same place that has ridiculed and blasted Caleb Williams at every opportunity he has his team sitting at 10-4 in the same NFC that the Panthers are competing in. And their division in the NFC North is as or more competitive as our division. Yet from the same people who have very high standards for Williams we get every excuse imaginable for the smallest starting QB in the league even when he and his team continue to disappoint when the pressure is on. You lot aren't any less inconsistent than anyone else.
    • The Panthers are 9th in cap spent on offense this year.  However next season is already a different story  The Panthers as it stands right now will be 18th in cap spent on offense and 8th in cap spent on defense  The Panthers are currently set to spend more on defense next year than they are on offense this season Guys like Jaycee and Moehrig cap numbers take a big jump. Wharton has a massive cap hit   Jaycee Moehrig and Wharton in 2025 The same 3 in 2026 So this same defense as it stands right now will cost more in 2026 than this offense does right now… Got anything else you want to try?
