Prayer Request for my son

My 7 year old has been sick since Wednesday and has been hospitalized since Monday. Doctors still don't know what's wrong after numerous labs and an abdominal CT. They believe at this point that it's something viral but he was admitted with severe dehydration and early stage renal failure. He's running a fever on and off but his labs are trending in the right direction.

I'm very proud of him as he's autistic with sensory processing issues and he has been very compliant with the staff, even during the CT which we thought would cause a complete meltdown.

So, prayers for strength and healing or just positive energy and thoughts are more appreciated than you can know. I'll update as I know more.

Anytime my kids  even a little sick it scares me.  Can't imagine what you are going through with this.  Thankfully it sounds like he is getting better.

Thoughts and prayers to you and your family.  Only advice I can give is for you to try and get some rest.  Might seem selfish but I don't think so.  Helps you reset and be in a better position for everyone involved.

Thank you all. He's slowing trending in right direction but they still don't know what's going on. Right now they think it's some rare viral infection and are continuing to draw and process labs. Looks like he'll be there through the weekend. We have been told my 1 year old isn't at risk at this point, which is huge because he has Mast Cell Disorder, so we have to be very careful and proactive with him.

Thanks again for the support.

We finally have a diagnosis, severe Mono. They say it can hang around for as long as 6 weeks. Right now the plan is to get him eating and drinking more without puking and we'll take him home to continue resting.

Hes bummed he'll miss the rest of baseball season and he's really bored. We are happy we know what's going on now so we can stop denying we're constantly thinking about the worst case scenario.

Thanks again for your prayers and support.

    • The vast majority of mocks from the past week suggests Sadiq, then Freeling, McNeil-Warren, Cooper Jr   https://www.nflmockdraftdatabase.com/teams/2026/carolina-panthers
    • Yup. Hopefully  Brandon adds some muscle this off-season but he'll probably be resting his shoulder for a while so I doubt it. Miles should probably be replaced but I don't think we find a better 4th option to be honest. So is it better to add depth along side williams and Coby or try to upgrade the 4/5 . I think adding depth will probably be more beneficial than trying to upgrade starters and bank on Brandon and Kons continuing development. I really don't think they are going to make the playoffs unfortunately. I think the big hole they put themselves in has exhausted them. They've been amazing since January 1 but I think it's come at a cost and their legs are gone.
    • The issue is the predictability of it all in a Bryce Young led offense. In 4th down attempts the Jets were at 41 and we were at 40. And we were 4th in conversation %. We were 25th in the league in 3rd down conversion because we faced so many 3rd and longs in part due to playcalling on 1st and 2nd down but more largely due to the limitations that cannot be overcome.  And people want us to spend another 1st rounder on WR as if it is going to magically give Bryce physical talent he will never possess. It's a shame we cut off our own nose just to put ourselves in this frustrating predicament.
