This sh*t is just pissing me off even thinking about it. This is a match made in heaven opportunity, and of course we aren't gonna show any interest because "Panthers". Make a fuggin logical good move for once and go get this man so we won't have to rely on old slow ass 1 year band-aid Adams to man our SS.

I will be so mad if he signs for cheap with another team while we show no interest.

Yep. This is seriously the type of move that can make the difference between just being good and being a legit Super Bowl contender.

I was fine wth the Adams signing at the time but now that there's a better option available we should definitely be interested especially given how Adams has looked. Father Time is undefeated. Everyone gets old. Adams has held him off longer than most, but he looks like he's wearing cement boots out there.

if we make a move like this i'll be utterly shocked

people rip gettleman for saying that but there were years of pulling our hair out and screaming for hurney to make moves like this and nothing happening

People thinking Hurney regularly made big, splashy free agent moves might want to check their history.

He certainly did it a time or two, but there were some offseasons where we didn't sign a single free agent.

I just want someone to specifically ask why we didn't show interest just so I can hear the same tired ass old cliches of "the answer is on the roster" and "it's a process". Then watch them all act shocked if geriatric ass Mike Adams shatters his hip midseason and we're forced to insert some special teamer at safety.

We should be interested in adding him but ultimately price is a huge factor and what he wants is a huge factor as well. Neither likely in our favor. There's not a team in he league that wouldn't have at least some interest in him. Highly unlikely we win the bid, but I feel pretty certain we'll have interest. But... Hurney...

Only 30 other teams than us an Denver.  No team, much less contender, has the need at SS AND has a team that will add to his future value like us.  None.  Especially at this point.

    • Great teams build through the draft and have several young players that start that are on rookie contracts. It's important to hit on players in rounds 4 thru 7.  These should be future starters and solid depth.  When you hit on most of your picks you free up a lot of cap space for those one- or two-year players to fill spots you are thin at. No GM is going to perfect on all their picks.  You're going to whiff every once in a while.  That was Hurney problem.  He'd nail the first pick but after that it was reach after reach and we couldn't get any depth on this team. I'm excited about Morgan as our GM and hopefully he'll be around a long time.  It will be even better if Canales can continue to grow as a head coach, both in the development of young players and play calling. I remember last season after Young came back in the lineup and started to perform well.  We saw different plays I had only seen other teams use.   If Canales's play design and play calling continue to grow. Morgan and Canales will be linked together for a long time.  It would be nice to see a Coach and GM together for a decade or two. Go Panthers
    • They also came out for the encore and the singers were dressed in canes jerseys. Pretty fuging cool.
    • She kicked ass. Obviously not the same but it’s an absolute pleasure to see this band live. What a great evening.
