Safety is an issue but at the same time does the NFL screw over one team or both. If it would've been moved to a neutral sight that removes any home field opening day advantage the dolphins would've had, not to mention they are already losing one home game by playing in London. That scenario would've had them losing 2 home games giving the advantage to the Bucs.

With this decisions both teams get equally screwed but the playing field is even. This was a Lose-Lose situation and looks like the NFL picked the option that would mess with both teams and not just one.

Not having a bye week still screws the players. It's the simplest solution but is certainly has a bad side effect for the players.

Good points.  Can't argue with that.  It's tough all around.  My main issue was these guys having to play straight through unlike anyone else but I guess this week will essentially function as a bye.

Hope everyone stays as safe as possible.

Sounds interesting but at the same time I would hate to be the guy who has to build the schedules for every team including 2 bye weeks.

2 weeks without football unless a hurricane.  week 7 would be a bye and week 14 would be a bye for every team.

Yeah you are right about that and the players didn't want it but any decision they made would've had backlash of some sort

No. KC is week 10 and NE is week 9. Although we weirdly have the same bye week as the 49ers.

Haha. After finding out that Miami and Tampa had the same bye, I searched the niners and saw it was the same as ours and decided that was enough to draw a conclusion

The NFL should have moved the game to Thursday night. Why not 2 games on Thursday? Monday night football plays 2 games.

Evacuations are already taking place in Miami. Playing the game in Miami was not really an option.

They could have moved the game to a neutral site.  Carolina, Atlanta, Jacksonville, and New Orleans are all on the road week one.

    • Bryce has been playing the best ball of his career the last three games IMO. He wasn't the reason we dropped the game in NOLA. Seattle's defense will be his toughest challenge yet this season
    • I'll be at the game Sunday and up until last year I had a perfect attendance record. Now however I have seen us lose to the Chiefs (last year) and the Bills (this year). So we can no longer rely solely on my ability to pound overpriced beers to propel us to a win.
    • I haven't been able to watch Seattle on a dedicated basis but the Seahawks are a much better team by the all accounts: eye test, record and DVOA. Defensively they are sick. Best DVOA in the league first in rushing and second in passing. Offensively their passing game has been on fire this year led by JSN I can easily see this being like the Buffalo game where things just get out of hand for us early, that being said this league really is week to week and Seattle does have the disadvantage of traveling cross country for an early game.  If and big if, the Panthers are able to effectively run the ball and limit the amount of time Seattle's offense has to generate explosive plays we have a path to winning this game.  Seattle fans won't be happy to hear this but bad Darnold is always lurking in the background. He is truly an enigma to root for bc he will have an incredible throw that only a few people can make but then will turn around and throw the most bone headed pick of all time.  I think ultimately we drop this one as ultimately it's human nature to be looking forward to that week 18 game. But man how special would it be to be leaving the stadium on Sunday with a win and a miracle dolphins upset
