Panthers vs Aints Predictions

Alright fellow huddlers it is Friday and a day closer to improving to 3-0 and beating a division hated rival.  Personally, the Aints are my most hated team in the division and I can think of a better way to close out a week than to beat the hell out of Drew Brees and the Aints.  I've been a PSL owner for a year but family has since 1997 and I've always had a little bit more joy to beating the Aints then the rest of the division.  A year ago I got married to a Aints fan but have since converted her to a Panthers fan.  She actually has more Panthers apparel than I have.  But the rest of her immediate family whos from LA are Aints and LSU fans.  It would bring me so much joy to be able to talk $h1t to my wife's family by 4:05 Sunday afternoon.

My Prediction on Sunday:

I truly believe that Cam and company will finally start getting the respect we had earned two years ago. Cam knocks the cobwebs offs and proceeds to do what Cam does.  CMC and JStew complement each other and almost splitting reps and i think KB has a HUGE day.  Defense will bend but wont break like we usually do but i think our secondary has a lot better of a performance than last year.

Panthers 31-20

Cam goes for over 200+ Passing, 50+ rushing, total 3 TD (2 Passing 1 Rush)

Jstew goes for a hard grinded 84 yards (punching in it from the goal line)

CMC has around 45 yards rushing and tops that with over 50+ receiving and gets his first regular season career TD on a pass.

KB goes off for double digit catches and over 100 and 1 TD

Peppers again will continue to wreck havoc on the Aints OL and lead team in Sacks.

Luke has another INT and so will Coleman.

Panthers defense ends day with 2 INT 4 Sacks and holds Brees under 250 passing and Aints run game under 100.

Close at half but Panthers put the clamps on defense.

Panthers 23-13.

Saints work to take Benjamin out of the mix and check McAffrey. As a result, Samuel has his first game of impact and a TD.

The Saints offense manages a TD and two FGs against the defense.

Game balls to Samuel, Stewart, KK and Bradberry.

Halftime score - Carolina 17, NO 3.

Probably a late game int to preserve a win,  we'll dominate them, but RR conservative game plan keeps them in it

24-20 Panthers, with us having a 24-7 halftime lead and going to the prevent in the 2nd half. Shula calls the wildcat on 1st series of the 2nd half, and NO takes off from there.

you know what they say... ne'er a truer word and all that jazz...

beer for both of you. if youre gonna drive me to drink, then im dragging you along! lol

    • Right and I think we can have a conversation about that. But even with the scheme he should still be able to muster more than 1.5 sacks right? I mean DJ Johnson played in Evero's scheme too but that didn't stop us from calling him a bust. Scourton didn't seem to have trouble flashing. There can be different things true at one time.
    • I assume you are quoting my still. If so, I don't know what your argument is since mine was simply showing a play where Bryce scored a TD against the Rams in the playoffs where another poster used a similar still of Herbert's line to defend his poor performance last night. Like I said, Herbert is a better QB but Bryce wins the game last night for the Chargers. It simply is something he does better than Herbert and would play to his strengths. Someone even said earlier Chargers only win 1 or 2 games this year if Bryce was their QB which is so absurdly laughable it wasn't even worth trying to address. I mean this thread is literally called "Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panther's History" so I understand there is no objective arguments to be had here but I found that amusing.
    • I think his knee would make a good reason to switch to guard IF he returns.  Half don't.  Half of those don't last too long.  The strain on a knee (320lb man) vs speed rushers is more substantial.  So I would keep him if I could on a small contract (he will make $17.5 in 2026 fully guaranteed) and think of him as a possible guard for the post Lewis/Hunt era.  Knee injuries in big men are not invitations to invest in them.
