we've got to get cam used to relying on these two. i don't know how long KB is going to be out, but the next few weeks i think cam needs to work within his limitations and rely on these two guys to do the work and allow them to get some confidence and well needed reps carrying the ball.

This is the future of the entire team, 3 years from now...players and their ages at that time. Only those who have potential to be a starter, and will be under 27 years old in 3 years...

QB- Kaaya- 25
RB- McCaffrey- 24, Armah- 26
WR- Samuel- 24, Funchess- 26
TE- N/A
OL- Moton- 26
DL- Hall- 25, Butler- 26
LB- Shaq- 26
CB- Worley- 25
S- Cox?- 26

Because the defense might be fearful enough to send safety help. To be fair to Devin, he had a step, the ball was not catchable.

Remember when Steve Smith laughed when he was asked if Cam Newton could overthrow him?

Apply that thinking here.

not sure if you can count on #1 having much of a future if we don't get better Tackle play.

The Panthers need to stop fuging around and draft a franchise LT in the 1st round, thats the only answer. We've had piss poor luck with free agents, either bargain binning or over spending it doesnt work for long . Look at what the Cowboys did, they hunkered down and drafted olineman high for a few years and ended up with a superior product.

I dont regret drafting McCaffrey and Samuel this year since we got Moton. But if you think about it, we could have easily traded down for Ramzcyk and then traded back up again for Cam Robinson , AND signed Wittworth instead of Kalil.  Then used the rest of the draft to fill out our offense skill positions. Or waited until next year to draft the RB/speed WR of the future. Fact is you have to sacrifice expensive early picks in  drafts/FAs to maximizing your oline to make a superior product and this organization doesn't completely understand that.

    • I think he's gone, and rightfully so, if he turns in another losing record. The "talented roster," regardless of how true or not, is a double-edged sword. If the roster is so much improved now from 202X then why are you still producing losing seasons? On one hand, maybe that's what needs to happen. Have the GM hire the new coach, and then have the new coach pick his guy to run his system. That is typically how it works in the NFL. Not the forced inheritance deal we have had in place.
    • Hinging on Brooks to be our spark...be good if it happens... but not holding my breath....RB next draft. Morgan gambled...it would be a 2 year payoff if thing happened.
    • Only way Canales is fired is if we are attrocious everywhere....  defense /special teams and offense..  There are enough "questions" on if BY9 is the guy that ownership wouldn't fire the coach for "just" mid qb play.  Especially with as talented a roster that has played "well enough" to win some tough football games and hang in there against the top tier of the NFL ...(mostly).   Now total team suckage..yeah .. but I don't see that happening.
