Yeah cause bad running performances are what you get when teams sell out to stop the run. Like 2+2=4

Look at Todd Gurley last year, even he can't get anything going if teams are fully focused on stopping the run

We are currently sitting in the bottom half of the league in rushing yards per game , Stewart is averaging  a paltry 3.3 YPC  on the season , and McCaffrey at a horrendous 2.8 YPC.  Jonathan Stewart literally averaged 1.2 yards per carry on 18 attempts against the Lions, that is god aweful. We're blessed our passing game has been flourishing recently.

To give Stew credit he averaged close to 5 YPC against the Saints, Patriots . However , McCaffrey is consistently getting terrible turnouts with his rushing averages , but I guess I can chalk most of that off to him not getting into a rythm and getting so few carries (only 3 carries against the Lions ...).

So what is going on here? Is it the run blocking? play calling? Stew getting old or McCaffrey unable to break tackles?

Cam hasn't been running much this season.  Our vaunted rushing attack has always existed with him being the center piece of it.

To predictable

5 out of 7 drives in the second half started off with a RB run on first down.  6th had penalty on Funchess and then the drive started with a RB run.

Detroit Stacked the box, they knew what was coming.

After we held them on 4th down at midfield, set up the perfect opportunity for a playaction shot and couldve been the dager. Instead with Detroit stacked the box.....Stewart run........2 yard loss.

Again awesome playcalling in the 1st half, 2nd half complete opposite

Teams sold out to stop it and force us to rely on our passing game.  We all know how that's turned out.

This. why cant people understand football? some people just look for things to grip about. everyone can't have awesome stats every game.
