You knew every time they lined up in a strong formation (1-2 WRs, OL packed in) that it was going to be a run.  And they did this a lot on first down.  Call some play-action out of that formation.  Or call some draw plays (Cam runs don't count) out of a spread formation once in a while.  And then the one time they get 1st and goal at the one, they pass it.
