Byrd's role?

What are everyone's thoughts on Damiere's role moving forward?

Does he immediately step in as #2 or #3 opposite Funchess or Funchess/Shep? I have to say I've been really unimpressed with Shepard. He's a JAG out there if not worse IMHO.

Is he WR #4 for now and will only feature in 4 wide sets?

Do we activate Bersin this week and roll with 6WR or does he get deactivated?

I'm looking for a sneaky pickup for my bench at WR in fantasy football, and had the thought that maybe Byrd comes back with a vengeance these last few games...

Obviously he and Clay share a similar skill set, but I think Byrd has better hands and routes.

I've never really been on the Byrd bandwagon, but I see a situation where a guy like him could come in and make some noise.

He can't do any worse than zero catches for zero yards which was last week's stat line for every WR we have not named Devin Funchess.

Yeah, its kind of a crap shoot.  We have several guys with speed, but speed is meaningless if you can't get open and catch the ball. Might as well throw him in the mix.

Byrd = Samuel

At this moment they should be about equal Samuel has the juice he just needs to get some nfl training in. Bryd beefed up already hope he can contribute this week.

This is ignorant straight up.

Samuel had more catches in one game than Byrd has his entire career.  I hope he shows something when he comes back, but so far, he hasn't.

He hadn't but you have to take into account Cam with Byrd actually playing has had KB and Olsen & Fun last year and this year KB and Fun ahead of him getting most of the targets along with CMC this year there while he was active there really hasn't been a place for him in a Shula offense. Now that the lines been gelling and we actually need his production now would be the great judgement of what he has to offer. He's gained the weight last few years been in the system and has speed now we'll see if he has football moxy.

Going to be featured in end arounds

I think Clay might have better wheels than Byrd for those

you ride guys that have shown as well.  Clay got some confidence going.  That means something in this sport

    • Damn back to 10th. I only caught the last 5 minutes but some of those 3's were horrible lol. In that close of game you can't be launching those many hail mary's when you could be chipping away from the foul line. I guess no one wanted to get in the paint and didn't trust the refs to give them the calls maybe? Gonna watch the highlights to get a better idea of the flow of the game
    • I agree.  The Big 12 is a good conference, and he is the swinging dick in that conference.  If Bill Self retires, that sets Kansas back a bit, and Arizona moves even further ahead as the best team in that conference.  Arizona can crush west coast recruiting with USC / UCLA no longer being relevant for LA kids, and Gonzaga not being able to compete moneywise.   If Lloyd comes here, he will be second fiddle to Duke every single year in NIL and recruits.  Not to mention the entire SEC and Big East for kids who want to stay in those regions to play. This is why I keep saying go get Mark Few.  Has proven he can do more with less from an X / O perspective but can also recruit All American players and compete at a high level. He's a god at Gonzaga, but for $9M he'd make the move as that's 4x what he's making at Gonzaga, and makes him the highest paid coach in the country.
    • Certainly not going to miss his constant whiffs on sacks and tackles.
