I think the guys (save for one or two psychos) have too much respect for each others' livelihood to be trying to injure, especially in the post-BountyGate NFL.

Not me man...  I used to believe that as well, but last few years have shown me differently.  The headhunting on Cam was both blatant and absolutely grotesque.  It made me almost not want to watch football anymore...  he wasn't protected at all and they were blatantly trying to take him out, game after game after game.  Also, speaking of Bountygate, that era of Saints football saw Fujita roll up on Smitty's knees after the play, them taking late hits on Smitty out of bounds, and the famous riot started after Roman Harper hit Smitty in the end zone after the play was over.  Coincidence that Smitty was our best player at the time and they made all those attempts to take him out?  Nope.  Whether it's Cam, Smitty, Kamara, whoever...  there are guys on each and every team that have no problem taking a guy out if it impoves their chances of winning and making money.

Yes, let's pretend we're above violence as we're drooling over modern day bloodsport lol.

Some of us don't watch football for the violence. I enjoy the skill and strategy, not the headhunting.

Those that enjoy the violent aspect better adjust their thinking or jump to another sport because football is evolving away from violence.

    • Yes message boards will always include that sort of stuff… However, this place has been a cess pool since the team took Bryce Young over CJ Stroud. It becomes a problem when it is accepted and promoted, which it has been here (even by at least one mod). Many posters sole purpose on this board is to try to dunk on others for having different opinions. We just had one write a novella on how talking about Bryce Young’s game winning drives “needs to stop”…after a win. They don’t want real conversation. It “needs to stop”. There are many posters here who literally only show up after losses to dead thread and try to dunk on others about the QB (MRenshaw is an easy example). I really don’t see much of that happening the other way around. There’s too many people that would rather the team be bad so they can feel justified for constant doom and gloom and negative opinions. It’s been pointed out by many over the past couple years. This just isn’t a place to have football discussions anymore because of the constant hyperbole. If you don’t subscribe to “Bryce Young is the worst QB ever who can’t throw the ball further than 5 yards and is the reason why we lose any game we lose and doesn’t help in any game we win”, then you are labeled a Bryce Young Stan.
    • if you believe he is watching every NFL game.....every week.....go right ahead.  I get it, he said something you like.  But that's like believing the talking heads on the ESPN shows are watching all the games.  You think Stephen A is watching the Panthers every Sunday too?  If Stephen A needs to go on First Take he certainly can pretend like he has watched every snap any player on the roster has taken lol.   No one is that isn't a Panther fan has been watching the 9-25 career go down every Sunday.  Or even a lot of Sunday's.  You know who knows more about Bryce Young than Long? The collective huddle.  What they are reviewing is stat sheets, highlights and in summaries.  It's an old formula lol.
