We want the Monk, Gotta have that Monk

Eight points, four assists on 3-6 shooting in 14 minutes for the Hornets tonight against the Raptors. He's our most electrifying player.

It's like if the NFL made teams use two QBs every game, and we had Jake (Kemba), Chris Weinke (MCW) and Cam (Monk) and Weinke got 4/5 of the backup minutes. MCW is fuging beyond trash and contributes literally nothing the same way Malik does. He's a worse shooter, defender and passer.

Pretty ironic that we thought we were getting a steal with Monk when the guy that most thought we would "settle" with in Donovan Mitchell already looks like a star

I would have been pissed passing on Monk and you have to remember that Mitchell would look a lot different on our team. He might be in a similar position as Monk.

What upsets me about the Hornets is that the organization doesnt realize when and how to tank.

This would be a perfect year, with all of the injuries to play the young guys, get them experience and have a high pick. Then if MJ and the band wanted to try again with the Kemba, Howard, Nic team they could! We would just potentially add another important piece.

And just like that I am done. fuging tank it and blow it up.

Yeah, this takes away any reason to watch for me.  They should honestly play Monk and Bacon as much as possible.  Sure the are not ready, but they will learn faster and their growing pains will result in a better draft pick.

Hornets are the Cleveland Browns of the NBA. It is sad really. We have so much basketball tradition in this area. Yet, we struggle to get even a decent team. We finally have a good draft (IMHO), and we do not play the rookies like other teams do in order for them to get real gametime experience. SMH. Cho is simply a yes man. Even if he wasn't a yes man, he has no real experience in basketball. He is simply a financial adviser and nothing more. Just a way for the team to cut corners to make a profit instead of winning or at least trying to build a winner. Rant over.

I think it will take a horrible stretch in January for the Hornets to finally realize they are inadvertently tanking. I just hope that we don't try to pull off a terrible trade and give up a pick or future flexibility. Let's just call it what it is. Our team with a hurt Batum and Cody are not very good.

Our coaches putting MCW over Monk is not good. When Monk is in the game, we are keeping him in the corner doing nothing but waiting. He is one of the few scorers off the bench and we don't give him a chance.

How I wish I could go back to the first 10 games of the season and get the excitement back of seeing Monk and Bacon off the bench on regular basis. That was enjoyable.

    • Yeah lol well the interest isn’t really about seeking stimulation.  I wanted to see how actually bad it was.  And how much of it was women setting him up to be their cash cow.  That is the stuff that leveraged the Panthers into David Tepper’s hands. It is important in that sense.     The worst that I have heard is that he got them in the car and clumsily reached across to help them with their seat belt and made contact. With his arm. That was probably his big slick move. And I can almost guarantee he wasn’t rejected every time. It is easy to picture that action bringing his head close enough to the woman’s head to where he could go in for the kiss if he thought he got the green light.    I really don’t care if JR was a horn dog. We heard all our lives up until the last few years that one of the perks of being really old is that you can flirt with the young women and it is not just tolerated but expected. So he was keeping a tradition alive at some point 😂
    • Well I rubbed some dirt on it and am still here just not optimistic about the future of the QB position. Even what I had accepted as a ceiling raised to an acceptable level turned out to be a bit of a mirage, upon rewatch of the WC game.  Good plays were there yes, but some pretty bad ones too that the good ones late in the game kind of obscured. I have to downgrade that a little.  Especially after rewatching the last 4 plays. I remember the arguments about he did his job the WRs didn’t but that was really just that last muff by Coker I think it was on our final offensive play.   To the future: I know what my level is for paying him and recommitting, but I don’t have any confidence that the team shares my high bar.    But thanks for the pep talk
