Gronk is not only better than Olsen, he might be the best TE in the history of the NFL. Brady is an all-time great QB with an all-time great coach, but he is playing with all-time great weapon in Gronk.  He also probably has two of the best slot receivers in the game on his roster.

Yep.

The post made mention of “underrated” and I was like Gronk Cooks and Amendola are underrated?

Bens Steelers have Brown, Smith Schuster, Bryant, and company.

wilson has Graham Baldwin Richardson and another I’m leaving out.

my point was that Cam doesn’t have.

when we had Steve Smith, Olsen, Shockey, and company, that was the closest Cam ever came to having a good corps to throw to, and he was a rookie.

What does he have now? There’s practice squads we could raid right now and do better.

I don’t know what was up with Cams accuracy tonight, maybe regression of his shoulder from running too much, who knows.

but 6 first downs and at least 2 of the 3 interceptions could have been caught by better receivers and probably we win,... even with Cam playing ugly.

Or how about this, if we lose next week I’ll be done posting and will go into lurk mode. If we win, you, @huggybear1688@ickmule@thomas96, @Hoenheim, @kaw_liga are done posting. I’m willing to go or sacrifice myself, because I’m that confident

I’m fine with that, but I’m confident they won’t beat the Saints. Brees is going to shred this Swiss cheese defense.

Great.

You’be been saying how you don’t watch the team and you don’t root for them. It’s time to make you nut up, and drop them for good so I’ll gladly do my part in speeding up that process. If they win, you’re gone. If they lose, I’ll go.

Play calling was the worst part of the offense yesterday. Not enough quick hitting runs, too many sweeps, options. The second issue was failure to gain yards on 1st and 2nd down. Some due to the shitty play calling above, some on Cam for refusing to check down for 3 yards....not that it’s his fault, it’s hard for a gunslinger to take a 3 yard gain

I will gladly stop posting if they win, but they won’t win.

Honestly I wish I had never started watching them again. From week 2 until week 14 I was about as happy as you can get. My wife decided she missed football and we started watching again, big mistake. If you took some time off and came back you too would see this team is just not good. they lack play makers, have a QB that would rather celebrate a first down like  it’s his first than he would concentrate on the next play, have terrible coaches and an outgoing owner that doesn’t care about winning.  Some day it may change, but for now this is the reality.  I get it, the homers love to feel good about the team and players, I was once in denial about the teams I rooted for..........I used to think the players on my teams were better than every other teams players, then I woke up.

Well, look at it as me doing you a favor. I’m given you a reason to finally let go of it all when it comes to this team. When we win next week, you’re done.

Colin Cowherd had a really good segment on Charlotte fans.  Said the sensitivity towards criticism of Cam is based on extremely low "sports self-esteem" because Charlotte and NC in general has been a loser/mediocre professional sports city for 25 years now.  So Carolina fans cling to the one "bright spot" and get extremely asshurt when people point out negative things about him.

Cam was once a top 10 QB.  He peaked two years ago, and now he's not.  It happens.

I think the main reason is that Cam is inconsistent. One game/drive, he's awful; missing reads, overthrowing, making poor decisions, and the next, he's a superstar; making plays that literally no one else can. The problem is, you never know which Cam you're going to get. Also, IMO, Cam is still a top 10 QB, and (puts on homer shades) has the potential to be top 3.

It's hard not to be defensive of Cam when you see some of the amazing poo he pulls off or when he literally carries the team on his back to a win...even when he follows it up with a shitshow like yesterday.

Cam played terribly yesterday no doubt, but it was far from all on him. He wasn’t the biggest problem. No WRs were the problem. This “WRs were wide open and Cam was missing them” myth is ridiculous. Cam missed a few throws but most of them were to guys that were blanketed. He was throwing high because he had to so his guys had the best chance at the ball. Greg was running wrong routes all game, everyone was dropping passes left and right.  Refs were allowing Atlanta to do whatever the fug they wanted except on ST.  Cam sailed a few passes. McCaffrey was more interested in making Sportcenter than making the catch and running with the ball. The OL was lost. Shula was Shula. Ron was Ron. The defense played very well for the most part. It was a complete offensive unit disaster, not just Cam.

Diminished skills or not the absence of J Stew was a factor...Cam played bad and the offense as a whole had no rhythm...

People who play too many video games have no understanding of how certain players effect a team and rhythm.

stewart brings an intensity and rhythm to our offense, and we saw what happens when he is missing

So, I take it you are gone from the forum ?
