Don't listen to this. Bob the Huddler, who's sisters ex cousin-in-law is a vikings fan, told him that Norv is terrible and will ruin our offense.

And people elsewhere on the internet are blaming Cam for getting Shula fired and are saying Cam is uncoachable.....rofl

Guys on here have been over-reacting like crazy in a negative way to Norv.  IMO, I think he's gonna be good.  Goal isn't #1 offense, it's top 5 rush and top 15 pass, which both are completely doable with tweaks to our personnel and an intelligent approach to our offensive play calling.  First, lets remember why Shula got hired.  He wasn't the most qualified, he was the only one that would take the job since it was perceived that "Ron was a lame duck coach" going into his contract year after Chud left if I remember correct.  Good for him to be serviceable, but it's time to go.

As for Norv, Cam has experience with Air Coryell, don't throw out his understandable concepts just to "change" things.  Norv will ask him to be more judicious in the run game, but his pass concept will be the same, but maybe he won't run an aging stewart on a goddamn go-route and think he's being innovative.  He's also better and getting Cam to work on his timing of his throws.  If Cam wants to improve as a passer (which I think he does), Norv will be a guy to help take him to the next level.  In Minn, Zimmer conflicted with him so there were mixed signals, it's better to just let one or the other just run the show, and in this case, Norv will run the show, Ron will focus on the Defense with wilks.

FWIW, Norv helped make both V-Jax and Josh Gordon, helped Antonio Gates, and helped Darren Sproles, so he has experience with all the kind of weapons we have, aside from the athletic freak we have at QB in Cam Newton.  I think this can be dominant, and FWIW, I think the only reason he came back to coach was to help mentor his son to eventually take that position in a few seasons, so he knows his success will eventually be his son's success, giving him more motivation to succeed.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
