I thought they really liked Gilbert?  Don't you think that he might be the backup in 2018?

Could go #1 so yes, yes he certainly is but should he be?  No agree there.  He isnt accurate which is hard to learn.  Somebody will take him too early because he is the most physically talented QB but his bust factor is very high.  We will never end up with Josh Allen so, no news here.

When all is said and done Darnold goes 1 but with Cleveland you never know.

Seriously, when you look at the NFL track record of QBs who had a sub-60% season in their final year of college play, their NFL track record is absolutely abysmal. Michael Vick is about the only guy I can recall who was sub-60% that you could argue was a "good" NFL QB and we all know that it was Vick's legs that made him so dangerous, not necessarily his skills as a passer.

Plug in a guy like one of Bradford, Keenum, Bridgewater, McCown, or Taylor as stop gap and draft the future guy this year. Or swing for the fences with Cousins.

If the Browns want to give up Herschel Walker type deal, any GM should take a look and see if there the draft class and FA class can fill in for trading a guy like Cam.

Nobody's off limits for that kind of deal. Ditto if somebody wants to pull a Mike Ditka.

I agree, but the one stipulation I would want is that Hurney have no involvement in it whatsoever.  I don't give a damn that he's had one really good trade.  That doesn't make up for the other shitty trades he's made.  It would be a waste.
