I dont understand why people get so uptight of Mel Kiper, his biggest claim to fame is not being the best but being the first NFL draft expert. plus the whole draft is a crap shoot anyway

I used to get butthurt too, but it really is just a crapshoot and his guess is as good as any amateur's. 

No one can measure heart or desire, so guys like Norwell go undrafted and guys like Brady and AB fall to the 6th round. 

I still love the draft and entertained immensely by it year in and year out.

Used to get together with two friends to watch the draft.  First year we did was the year that happened. Every year after that, whenever they'd introduce him, we'd say "Who in the hell is Mel Kiper, Jr?"

I am less concerned with Kiper, than I am with the fact that the guy who drafted Clausen is in charge of the Panthers draft again.
