Bucky Brooks has us taking Christian Kirk while Daniel Jermiah's first mock have us taking Calvin Ridley.

What do you think of this? Some early signs that we will take a WR if one of the top 3 or so drop to us.

Also CBS Sports has us taking Courtland Sutton WR SMU. Also seen mocks with us taking Anthony Miller .

What do you think about all this? Literally every recent mock draft has us taking a WR or an edge rusher with pick 24

I dont think Ridley would be there at 24, unless he absolutely flunks the combine in all areas.

Miller and Kirk are a bit more intriguing realistically. They both have a pretty good chance of being there around the late 1st or even someway down in the 2nd round . I like Miller a bit better, seems more physical .

Sutton makes no sense to me. Hes a Funchess clown from all the highlight tapes I've seen, and this dude has minimal separation in almost all his highlight vids against college CBs is a red flag to me.

Quite a few drafts have Darrius Guice (RB LSU) dropping a bit as well recently.

Billy price is interesting one of the best centers to come out in years and can play guard I guess it depends on what they think they got to fill the guard spot if anybody. But if it’s gonna be wr I  think it will be Washington he fast and probably The strongest receiver in the top five

Kirk got wheels :Eyes_Emoji_42x42:

Byrd and Samuel have track speed, Kirk got that football speed.

Funchess - Kirk - Samuel - Byrd (resign) - Bersin (Resign and Respect the Sunshine)

I will replace my Maurice Hurst Jr pick with Kirk. I was on the fence but man Cam would go ham with that WR core.

Draft Time:

1st Kirk WR

2nd Wynn G/C

3rd Hayden Hurst TE

3rd Kyzir White S

Resign JP, Norwell

Sign Kyle Williams

Cut Fozzy, Shepard, CJ

Restructure JStew (refuses cut him)

DE: Addison, Horton, JP, Hall, Obada (future pass rush specialist)

DT: KK, Butler, Love, K Williams

LT: M Kalil

RT: Daryl Williams (extend him if possible)

T: Moton

LG: Norwell

RG: Turner

G: Larsen (resign), Van Roten (resign)

C: R Kalil, Wynn

With Norv Turner coming here and talking about surrounding Cam with weapons and the trouble we had with our WRs last season, It's a safe bet that we go WR. We can't rely on the same group we had last season or Cam will be demanding a mid season trade. I expect Hurney to trade into the teens and get the best available WR hoping Ridley is still there. That's my bet

    • Good game so far.  Solid trench battles, two young well built defenses, and my 2 fave coaches.  Stafford is really damn good.  SEA OL is overperforming.
    • Okay then. To me that means Russell Wilson was Coryell. Because I see the proposition completely in the Russell Wilson punt/pass put it up for grabs mold. Count on the receiver to catch it or knock it down.    And the reason I thought that was the intent with Legette is the abysmal downfield game from 2023. As in, there was barely any.   I look at it as if… the result of a deep attempt isn’t as important as the opponent understanding they have to defend it. So I was all for some 50/50s. Coryell, Walsh whoever.  I do favor the Coryell approach personally but also very much value versatility, it doesn’t have to be strict. Just make the defense defend the whole field, however you do it. It has to include downfield throws.
    • Sold, or in the process of being sold. Could be either way. Consider this for a second... Last season, our defensive coordinator steered what many have called the worst defense in NFL history.  Canales would absolutely have been justified in firing him, and no one would have blamed him if he had.  But what did he do? He gave Evero another chance to come back and prove he could be better. Does that tell us something about Canales? I think it does. Now apply that to Bryce 😕
