Matt Miller's full 7 round mock

Highly doubt we take another 2nd round OT , but I guess its possible if Norwell leaves and the staff already knows we will be saying goodbye to Matt Kalil after this season. Not a terrible pick but we all know we're going to be stuck with Matt Kalil this season baring injury at LT so I feel like the 2nd rounder could be much wiser spent .

I rarely post but every time i see Matt Miller i can't help but think of his "scouting report" of Luke:

Every "draft expert" gets some wrong, but this was just pure dildos.  Miller's no draft or scouting guru, so take what he says with a grain of salt.

LOL! The good old "he's white, so we have to downplay his athleticism" take. Them Luke goes to the combine and absolutely blows it up.

Pretty much all the players he picked for us I've never heard of besides Hubbard and Marcus Allen. No RB picked. No name late round WRs, dont like that.

Full list of players he picked for us

  • R1 : Sam Hubbard, DE, Ohio State
  • R2 : Chukwuma Okorafor , OT , Western Kentucky
  • R3a : Jordan Lasley (who the fug?), WR , UCLA
  • R3b : Marcus Allen , S,  Penn State (Rashaad Penny , Nick Chubb, Anthony Miller, many others stil still on the board after both our 3rd rounders)
  • R4 : (We dont have a 4th Rounder)
  • R5 : Skai Moore, LB, South Carolina
  • R6: Danny Johnson , CB, Southern (Southern what? lol)
  • R7a: Brandon Silvers, QB, Troy
  • R7b:  Steve Ishmael, WR, Syracuse

So we got DE, OT, WR, S, CB, LB, QB . This is one thing I'll give him credit for, well balanced draft position wise.  But the only pick I really like is Marcus Allen which is hella value in the late 3rd round.

I don't like taking players that aren't even the best in their own team's defensive line. Sam Hubbard was hyped up the last few years and his production never matched it. I don't think he'll be a bust, but don't expect much from him than being a solid starter. I think there are better prospects with similar floors but higher upside at our position.

that OT is from western michigan not western kentucky

The only question Okorafor has to answer IMO, he gets my approval:

"

JM: How do you respond to someone who delivers a late hit on your quarterback?

CO: Not very well [laughs]. I don’t care if it’s my QB or my running back, or anyone on my team, really. I don’t let that fly."
