She files a motion that is denied by the judge and then retracts it a few days later. I'm just having a hard time seeing how this is going to end Hurney's time here. It really feels more like your Hurney hate is causing you to really try to turn this into more than it appears to be.

I'm ok with that.  I just want him gone whatever it takes.  Where's the banner brigade when you need them?

Consider for a moment:

Have I said at any point that Hurney is definitely guilty and should absolutely be punished?

Are we not living in a time when people can suffer consequences for things even if they aren't proven guilty?

Is the Panthers team not currently in a bad position due to the owner's behavior?

Would a new owner not want any association with prior bad press to go away as soon as possible?

Are the points I'm making primarily about what could happen or what should happen?

Am I suggesting anything here that's outside the realm of possibility?

So tell me, are you actually reading what I'm actually saying or just seeing what you wanna see?

How much change will one organization go through in one year?

As you see right now, over/under 8 wins next season?

In saying 13 wins. This organization is expelling everything that made it 8 wins and under.

Accused vs Actually doing something are 2 different things. I'm waiting for someone to bust Jeanne Hurney's balls for filing a bullshit report. Bullshit according to the judge and her own attorney. Don't care if he's our GM or not but I do care when a woman has the ability to drag her ex into court over some non-sensical bullshit. Now he's being investigated by the NFL even though nothing was found and dismissed by the courts. Trying to ruin him...he ought to drag her into court for defamation.

Spoken like a man that's been through a divorce.

I've been through 4.

Yes, 4.

There is no way he gets the GM gig now. I swear karma is righting this ship. Now maybe we can focus on a real GM search.

Oh I'm reading it and I get what you're suggesting/praying for. I'm just not going to jump on your bandwagon of excitement for removing a man from his job because of some retracted accusations that both attorneys and the judge have all said have no merit just because YOU think youre painting some rational picture of how this "could" unfold.

Read the dang article

"In late December, Jeanne Hurney filed a motion to receive more alimony, given Hurney’s return to the Panthers."

This is the most important part

Well if thats her goal, its a pretty dumb plan trying to get him fired.

    • They can get film of all the games? Every team? Wow! Who knew… Our games with them are big examples of why they are in  the CB market so hard.   It is the study they do getting ready for the games.  Preparing to play against is a little different than just analyzing film in scout mode. Deeper dive. Then you are analyzing post game too.  This goes to why players often change teams but stay in the division. The opponents know each other on a higher level.  Plus if you lost to us, you used to get fired. Now you have to trade your first round pick. Moving up on the world.
    • I honestly can’t believe this team’s turnaround this season. It’s surreal. Figured healthy we’d be fringe playoffs and with another lottery pick could finally turn the corner, but we don’t even need that. This group is ready. We haven’t played remotely well the last 5 games and yet still blew out 5 bad teams by 16+ each game like it was casual practice. We had a few solid teams with Kemba and Big Al but this is easily our best group since the original Hornets moved to NO. Man, what a shift in culture this new ownership group and front office has brought. So damn happy to see it after years of suffering and consistently meaningless games in this stretch of previous seasons.   Only 2.5 games out of the 6 seed, although Miami, Atlanta and Orlando have been playing well too. Gonna be a fun final stretch, hopefully we can get a top 8 seed at the very least. Celtics tomorrow will be a good test. Would be huge to keep the road winning streak up against a very hot top team on the 2nd half of a back to back. We’ve played Boston pretty well the last few years with much of this same group despite sucking so I do feel pretty good about it. Kon is due for a huge game coming off a few cold shooting games (although despite the poor shooting he’s been contributing well with defense, assists and rebounds).
    • It amazes me how underrated Horn has become after he finally was able to stay on the field. Sure last year wasn’t perfect but he was still a huge reason for our rebound defensively and I’d say he’s easily a top 10 corner. You don’t want to see Mike Jackson as our top corner. Any player is available for the right price but I’d be extremely hesitant to move Horn even for a big haul from LA.
