Your opinions on the 2018 season

Its obvious that this organisation is going through the biggest overhaul that it has ever seen has since its inception. In fact. I can't recall any franchise that has gone through what is happening here. What do you see for next season? Can the players come together and focus or will all this have taken it's toll?  Opinions please....

Jerry Richardson situation could've bothered them but nothing else really should.

The uncertainty with the new owner and GM SHOULD make certain position groups work harder. (ex:Dbs) If the new regime doesn't like a players fit or think a player just isn't good they'll probably be cut or moved. And that's the only thing that I see could worry anyone.

Just now, Jon Snow said:

This team as you know it will not exist after this season.  What to expect?  Don't get your hopes up.

oh....2019? that's a whole other story. depends on who the owner and GM is and how well they can rebuild. if it somehow manages to be hurney....i'm not feeling it. this next year, though? we got some incredible pieces still in place and have better management of the offense.  we gonna be alright.

Everyone is auditioning for a job, coaches, FO and the players.  Everyone should be nervous.

Homer glasses off I would say the jury is still out on how this coming season plays out.   Everyone and I mean everyone is auditioning for a job this year so you would think that they go all out to impress, right?  That's a lot to wish for.

It’s hard to tell.  All of the players are on vacations and probably getting as far away from this mess as possible.  This team had a history of thriving during controversy and distractions. Which that says a lot about the locker room. I think as long as Ron is at helm, he will keep the players focused.

You know the inconsistency of this franchise. Something will make us finish 8-8. We play the AFC North, so we should get wins against them. New Orleans may fall off but Atlanta will certainly rebound. We also play the NFC East. The last time we had this schedule we won the division at 7-8-1. It may take a year to get acclimated to Norv's scheme. However, if we don't address our secondary or our receivers, 8-8 sounds about right.

    • Here is what it said about him coming out of college: Overview A three-year starter with good feet and technique, Samac could be in consideration for a move-blocking rushing attack. He is strong at the point of attack but will have limitations against NFL power. He operates with good hand placement and nimble feet and is a demon once he’s on the move as a pulling center leading the way. He’s fluid and agile in the run game, but those traits fail to do as much for him in protection. Samac punches with inside hands but can struggle to widen his protection base in order to protect his edges. He has eventual starting talent as a run blocker but needs to add more mass and improve in pass protection to get there.
    • Through 2 games cltfc has 12 shot attempts. Opponents 23 shots on target. Attack sucks, Defense definitely sucks. Kahlina is the only reason they haven't given up 14 goals in two games.
    • I met a few times--never liked him. I figured he might have had a bad day--but then realized that he must have a lot of bad days. Once he raised his voice at my son because my son did not understand a question when SS was signing his jersey.  I wanted the jersey to represent his encounter with a Panther great, not some small man with a bad attitude.  I told me son, "Forget it.  He was asking you what your name is (My son was about 7 and told me that he thought Smitty was going to write (my son's) name on the jersey.  He said "Dad, I thought he was supposed to write HIS name on the jersey, not mine."  I said, "He was personalizing it, writing it to you--like a birthday card."  He is now grown, and he has a steve smith Jersey that is framed and matted.  He keeps it is his closet.  I asked him, "Why not have that out on your wall?"  He said, "All I remember is an A-hole scribbled on my shirt.  I don't remember a legend or hero.  But he had a Jake Delhomme Jersey on his wall.  "Jake was great.  I will always remember that."  (Jake stayed and talked to us for about 5 minutes or more--GREAT guy.)
