My faves....

Good:

Fleecing the Bears to get Greg Olsen for a 3rd round pick.

Drafting Cam Newton and Luke Kuechly in back to back drafts. 

Pretty much every 1st round pick Hurney has made has been money. Even Jeff Otah seemed promising at first until injuries and apathy derailed his career. 

Bad:

Hurney was so excited when he drafted Jimmy Clausen in the 2nd round of 2010, his hands were shaking. Rumor is Hurney almost traded away 2011's first round pick to trade up to get Clausen. Thank god he didn't, because who knows where the Panthers would be without Cam.

Trading away the 2010 first round pick to draft Everette Brown in the 2nd round in 2009, who was a borderline NFL prospect at best. The 2009 draft was an epic poo show for the Panthers.

Trading away a 2nd round pick in 2011 to draft local favorite Armanti Edwards, who was also a borderline NFL prospect. He was as slow as an offensive lineman.

Take away Cam Newton, the 2011 draft was one of the worst in Panthers history.

Basically if Hurney stops re-signing players to massive contracts, and making bonehead trades in the draft and crippling the team leaving them without a 1st round pick for two consecutive years, the team *might* be okay.

And yet, they didn't learn their lesson, did they? On the same day Draft God is made permanent GM again, here they are, crying and crying.

Some people just hate winning.

In his first tenure as GM the panthers were 86-90. They had 3 winning seasons out of 11. You must have been the worst football coach in the history of the world if you consider that winning. Your username should probably be FiredCollegeCoachWhoCantGetAnotherJob

Well the kids are better off not being coached by someone who actually thinks Cam isn't a good QB and just a marketing tool.

      No poo tho you might could Jenkins for Legette. They got nothing at WR after the big 2 in Cincy. I don’t think you trade away OL depth. Could get a quality player in cuts. Really that 3-4 end spot what you should be looking for is someone who is stout with long arms and can push back the OL in both the run and pass game for others to make plays…. But we signed Wharton, sometimes I think Evero is a fraud ass nerd who should be an analyst at best.

      you would honestly probably do Monroe Freeling more of a disservice by putting him in a position where is not yet ready to succeed. .we all knew Monroe Freeling struggled at the NFL combine in drills because of technique related issues & would need time to develop  & now all of a sudden before they even put the pads on Monroe Freeling is somehow a starting LT in the NFL ? if he struggled at the NFL scouting combine what do you actually think is going to happen in a live NFL game at LT ? .even our best LT of all time was not ready to start at LT when he was a rookie & he turned out to be a pretty good darn LT by the name of Jordan Gross ...just saying be patient Young Jedis

      well i could go on & on but i will just highlight it by saying big difference trust me from the SEC & NFL.it's honestly like comparing apples & oranges especially when you are talking about a  LT. in the NFL you are going up against the most athletic freaks of nature the world has to offer . .the NFL also has much more exotic & complicated defensive schemes than what they are used to seeing at Georgis &  finally but most importantly you have to learn how to master complex bio mechanics where the body kick steps instantly as a reaction to these world class athletes rush without really making a conscious effort it's more of a learned muscle memory  & it can take thousands upon thousands of reps to master rproper technique for a LT in the NFL especially if you are still very raw like Monroe Freeling is    ...just saying
