You don’t know how good Sherman will be when he comes back. Achilles are close to death sentences for NFL players, much less Corners.

Yeah they are what a ACL tear was 15 years ago.

He did have a pretty bad 2017 (O INTs and only 1 pass defended) and according to his stats only started 6 of 15 games. I don't know much about the Giants secondary, but it seems like he wasn't going to be more than depth this year.

Also, I remember seeing some stats about older DBs and for the most part they start falling off in their 30s. Revis fell apart at 32, which is what Cromartie is now.

that's also not taking into account what a trainwreck their entire season was under McAdoo.  He suspended DRC for disagreeing with him and disrespecting him at practice.

Not saying he's what he was 3 years ago, but he had plenty of athleticism to spare and he's still better than anything we have currently.  On a good deal, we should absolutely give him a shot.

? He''ll be 32 and we don't have any corners as is

I don't like corners over 30, I know he was 32, thus my sarcasm about holding out for a really old one.  They get so much faster with every year

If he can move to FS and be had for $5M or less, ok.  My guess is he fetches more money based on name and maybe didn't want to move away from CB. I agree with the age assessment and decline. DRC was never Revis, and Revis crash and burned at CB at 32.

If he can pull a Woodson and move to SAF, then I would be intrigued.

    • Got to give some credit to the coaching staff on these. You can grab top talents but without good coaching, they just fizzle out. We've seen that a lot around here.
    • Oh, no TV for tonight's game unless you have the NHL Network, I believe. I could be wrong, hopefully?
    • Early returns are great and exciting but also worth noting that Gettleman had a few drafts that looked incredible early on and wound up mostly sucking (2014 mainly). Also PFF; grain of salt, etc.    I'm completely sold on Tet being a stud, knocked a high pick out of the park like we needed to and always should. Nearly sold on Scourton. Not sold on Princely but he had flashes. Not sold on Etienne as more than a 3rd stringer and special teamer, but that's not terrible for his draft position. Big fan of Ransom and think he'll be a starter.  Cam Jackson : IDK, I see limited upside but we didn't see much of him Evans was a nice find for draft position and he had a great rookie year for a late round rookie TE with plenty of veteran competition. Not sure about his upside though, seems like best case is a long term #2/3 TE, which isn't bad. Jimmy Horn, personally I didn't see a damn thing from him that impressed me all year. And he got a lot of opportunities. Pulling for the kid, but not convinced he's an NFLer.   UDFA: Fitzgerald was an amazing find
