Developing Trade pending with Raiders

Developing Story - Panthers have reached out to the raiders and made an offer for Crabtree. They have offered a a 7th this year or a conditional 7th for him that could turn into a 6th in 2019 , since they may have to cut him to sign Jordy Nelson. Panthers don't want to get into a bidding war but would like to secure his services if possible. My friend is an intern at the panthers office and this is what he is hearing in the building, but take for what it worth. I have not link to verify. Apparently is the war room they have a board with certain players names and values and who they would like to target via trade or FA signing. No picture taking is allowed of the board i already asked.

    • This is an important point.  When you let the offense choose the matchup so easily you are only hurting yourself.  At least make them work to get the matchup they want.
    • This is incredibly dishonest, and you know it. We didn't cherry-pick a "small amount of deep throws late in the year." We reviewed every one of Bryce's deep throws using the NFL's own film and data via NFL Pro. The analysis was thorough, transparent, and contextualized with game film. Dismissing that as cherry-picking is not only incredibly disingenuous, it is textbook gaslighting as well. Let's walk through the actual data: Top-10 in deep ball accuracy Top-5 in short-range accuracy Bottom-10 in intermediate accuracy (not ideal, but not "league worst" either) If you're going to lean on the "no pressure" qualifier again, his deep passing under pressure was covered. So no... it wasn't cherry-picked. Look, you don't have to believe in Bryce. That's your right... but misrepresenting clear, consistent evidence crosses the line from skepticism into willful intellectual dishonesty.
    • big picture though, that largely sounds like a horrible idea to go about things.  Not saying I think they did that.  Think the illusion of that is largely just PRish of presenting a image of things working out well.  But yeah, you don't want your WR influencing who you draft at TE.  Players are going to be bringing crazy bias into the equation and a 23 year old struggling QB shouldn't be making your top 10 pick.
