After the playoff game against NO, Clay is nothing more than a return specialist in my eyes. I still haven't rewatched that game.

I hoped we could keep Clay as a punt returner only.  He was the first  returner of ours to be a legitimate threat to score in a long while.  I suppose we still could keep him though.

Good luck to them. Not really a surprising one in the bunch. Maybe one or two will sneak back in for training camp, but short of that one return by Clay, not much excitement from the four of them.

Liked Clay and Gunter but with our recent acquisitions, they are no longer needed.

Would really like Clay, Gunter and Yankey back.

 

Clay can be a returner and his speed can be very valuable for us at a back up WR. Young and showed a few flashes last season, hopefully we can keep him here cheap. Gunter and Yankey are both serviceable backups who know the system I don't see the issue with getting them back as depth players. All need to make ST contributions to stick around though.

Pretty sure the lowest tender is $1.9M for all of them so this is expected. Any could still be back on a lesser deal.

I thought Gunter played well when he came in for Seymour/Worley. Looked like a legit cb2-3 out there. Hopefully they can still sign him back. Clay was meh and didn't do much with the volume of touches that he was given.

I get the impression Gunter is one of those guys that a lot of people think is better than he really is.

Not against bringing him back, but I'm not holding my breath.
