Starting to wonder if josh Jackson falls to us in the 2nd, from what I’ve heard from posters doesn’t do good in man cover and he’s a little stiff in and out of his breaks. We’re one of the last remaining teams that run a zone heavy scheme that he’d fit in

Can't see it. Yeah, he's raw in his technique, but he's a good athlete with good length and you can't teach his instincts and ball skills on the field. You either have that or you don't and he definitely has it.

Damn so hurney didn't bother with James?

James hasn't visited anyone. He only met with Lions at the combine.

He says he will only do private workouts but so far that has not occurred with any team

I saw on Twitter that we were looking at Duke Dawson. Ok. We need secondary help.  That makes sense. Well until I dug into it.

He is a Nickle corner.  And we had a Private workout with him.  Say what???

When I watched the tape he reminded me of Corn Elder.  Who I like.

My question is how safe is  Munnerlyn?  Or are they not confident in Corn’s recovery?

In terms of his roster spot, I think Captain is pretty damn safe. He would cost us about $2.5M extra this year on the cap if we cut him. But, I do think he fell out of favor with the coaching staff last year and has a lot of work to do in order to get out of the doghouse. Corn is probably largely a question mark to them and I think they're wise not to be relying on him. He could be a guy we're just keeping an eye on in case he was there in the 5th or something like that.

I really like Daesean Hamilton he was a standout at the senior bowl because of crisp route running and constantly getting seperation. I think he will go 4th rnd though and we don't have a pick there.

I like Micah Kiser as LB depth. Also Deadrin Senat in 5th round would be good valuè and bring youth to our DT rotation. Street and Sweat are both edge rush options who look like good fits.

If Hamilton is there in the forth I would definitely be for trading up to get him. Love that kid.  But I think he goes in the 3rd round.

Ithink last year almost every play we drafted we had a visit with.  I think they talked about it in the final press conference.

Yeah but that was with Gettleman as GM and with Jerry as owner (met with CMC personally before drafting him).

Without those two in play anymore, do we really have a trend to follow?

It’s the same as every team. There are exceptions, especially when someone drops unexpectedly but does anyone really think teams purposefully don’t meet with the guys they’re interested in? Most teams meet with 10x the players they draft. Often we hear about visits after the draft and not all visits get reported. That said with local school player visits (like Clemson, SC, UNC, NC State, etc.) not counting as official, we probably have 40+ true visits. Throw in the combine, bowls and pro days, there’s a ton of “visits” so yeah, we likely visit with everyone we draft this year just like most teams.

No, I meant that CMC had a special type of visit, seeing that he was invited to Jerry's house.  My point is that would be a great indicator except for Jerry inst in the picture anymore

https://247sports.com/nfl/carolina-panthers/Bolt/Panthers-meet-with-Josh-Jackson-at-Iowa-Pro-Day-116724040

"Potential first-round selection and Iowa cornerback Josh Jackson met with the Panthers at the team's Pro Day on Monday, according to Tony Pauline. It's the second time Carolina has been tied to Jackson in the pre-draft process, as reports surfaced the organization also met with the Iowa standout at the NFL Combine in Indianapolis earlier this month."
