At the time it was a good pick. There was no guarantee that KK would be back. Without him we would've been extremely thin at the position like always before the Gettleman era. Now it looks kind of bad since we have two starters in place, but who knows. He can still develop into a very good player imo and you can never have too many big men up front with all the injuries. He looked great in camp before getting hindered with injuries himself. I'd rather go Butler again than a random wr that shula could probably never get involved/develop or have Ron bury him beneath pet players.

Yes... because with the power of hindsight... the logical thing to do would be to still pick him ahead of:

Emmanuel Ogbah, Hunter Henry, Myles Jack, Sterling Shepard, Derrick Henry, Michael Thomas, Deion Jones, Vonn Bell etc. etc.

For those that hate Seattle and enjoy their demise, this helped.  They thought we would go elsewhere and they would land him.  As a result they traded assets for Reed, traded major assets for Richardson who isn’t there anymore, and drafted a total bum in McDowell as a result.

    • Not sure how much he was a long term piece of this team.   Sucks to not have him as part of the rotation.   Looks like it's Lee Hunter time.
    • This post was an error. Oops and sorry for the errors in the previous one. Too slow to edit.   We’ll see what they do.
    • I am not sure he will put the over the games but we’ll probably have them.   Two things I am thinking.  We have 4 preseason games.  All the coaches have enough service time to know the standards that are in place for decades. If I recall it was play your starters just a series to start woth and build it up until week theee where play a lot and you have week four to set hour roster. Evaluate before cuts.   Bevell will certainly have the whole thing down pat.   I’d they don’t do the fries and frie air will worry too. Because it is set up to do that.     I have said since they went t three preseason people have to figure a new way are still feeling it out and trying things.  We don’t have to this year.
