From a guy pulling for Navarro: While this info is likely credible and seems to be pretty fairly delivered in this case, I can't help but point out that the source has been pretty bitter/borderline butt hurt when it comes to reporting on anything related to this team.  Also ovias is crap.  Anyway, thanks for sharing but I'm cautious of the overtones.

People think JR is a pushover but in the end he will pick who's best. Tepper is who's not best by a long shot. JR is one of the owners who bent over the NFLPA and slid it in no grease. Doesn't sound like a man who would let anyone bully him much less when he has nothing to lose.

I think the first thing I ever posted once this whole discussion started was "whoever Jerry Jones wants to own the team, that's who it'll be," and it's proving to be true. if Jerrah wants David Tepper, we're fuged. Owners will revolt in their vote. If Jerrah listens to his buddy JR (if this indeed is what JR is thinking, since we still don't know) we might luck out.

Jerry Jones would be the last owner I would think has any influence in the league. He was removed from the compensation comittee (was a non voting mrmber) and was just fined by the other owners for going against the group's will regarding Goodell.

The influential owners are generally considered to be Rooney, Mara, Hunt, Kraft, McNair, and Blank.
