Amazon is not what it used to be...

Their prices are terrible and they use lying teachnique to dupe customers into thinking they are getting a good deal when they clearly do not.  Their lightning deal and deal of the day are some of the biggest scams.  Many of their product ratings are fakes.  Walmart, Target, Costco and etc have much better prices and deals.  I have a feeling Amazon growth will take big fat step back very soon.

This...  I bought something and I needed 1 day shipping.  Amazon made me pay $30 and ship it ground from Texas....  got it 4 days later.  I went to Target and found same product cheaper...  I sent that poo back to Amazon.

My subscribe and save used to all come on the same day in 1-2 big boxes...  Now all my subscribe and save comes throughout 10 days in multiple boxes... 

I had Arlo cameras on my wish list for 4 months...  its always been $440-$480...  For the first time ever, Amazon jacked up the price to $509 and put it on lightning deals... And said it’s 25% off when clearly it’s $70 more.

My friend was selling on Amazon for a while and making decent money..... she'd go to a target by all of a certain toy they had on the shelf on sale then sell them through Amazon for like a 25% profit.

I agree the price fluctuations can be an annoyance & the reviews can be sketchy. I’ll run products through fakespot.com I never trust amazon reviews whole heartedly.

But I still finder cheaper prices on Amazon compared to other big box retailers + 5% cash back with the Amazon prime visa, & still the easiest returns in the game.

I get my  sh*t in 2days sometimes a day but I’m also surrounded by 5 fulfillment centers not more then 2 ½ hours way, Huzzah! for the Bay Area.

Amazon is still the only place for me.

If an item I want is cheaper on amazon I purchase it from them.  Always 2 days - never an issue and yes I pay state tax.

 

Are we supposed to hate amazon because dear leader said so now?

Been a Prime customer for years. Had one item come a day late and another was stolen from my apartment lobby (not their fault). I also live in the NYC/CT/Boston area though.  Amazon Prime is awesome and well worth the money.

Been selling on there for like 10 yrs+

They are taking a bigger and bigger bite outta sells (which is bs) but I've sold some rare things for big money. 

Will agree on the 2 days shipping...if they don't make that its like "oh well". 

On a positive note, I do like the returns policy.  That is working well.

The best thing is when Amazon screws up and you end up getting stuff for free. My fiance ordered a patio set with a table and 4 chairs. The 4 chairs showed up without the table which was supposed to be included. We told them we didn't receive a table, they sent a new set of 4 chairs and table out and told us to keep the extra 4 chairs. We sold the chairs for $100 on craigslist and it basically paid for the whole thing.

Yeah, complain to amazon anytime you don’t get an item in two days. Typically they’ll give you a free month of prime for your trouble. That’s a pretty good deal.

Also might I suggest camelcamelcamel.com or other similar sites to track amazon prices and set price alerts. Never get burned by price increases.

Guess I've had good luck, but 98% of the time I get stuff in the right time frame.   Though most of my purchases are vinyl records but other stuff has came in at expected times.    It would be weird for you to not get stuff in CLT when there's a lot of warehouses around.

Yea, I don't think I've ever had an issue with something be delivered in the time frame that I requested. The only caveat to that is if I order something on Thursday and Friday, I won't get it until Monday or Tuesday, but that's expected.
