Browns take 2 QBs?

Recommended Posts

This draft is going to be one entertaining event for the ages.  Not only are we evaluating the top 4 Qbs and where they could go but hindsight is they are all just kinda "alright."  There is no clear cut top QB in this draft. If the Browns take 2 QBs at 1 and 4 that would be the biggest Browns move ever.  They should just take the best player in the draft with Barkley and then take either best QB available at 4 but i would take Barkely at 1 and Chubb at 4.  Two centerpieces of your offense and defense and draft a QB in the 2nd round like a Mason Rudolph who i personally think as just as high a ceiling and groom him behind Tyrod this year.

The main issue I see is the QB that loses the battle will probably lose value.  Teams would low ball them to get that QB away from them.  I am not sure any team would trade a 1st round pick in next's year draft for the losing QB.

Basically they would trade a 1st for and 2nd or 3rd.  But then again, It's Cleveland.

I said that long time ago . That's the best move they should make because you know if they take 1 they will mess it up

They'll still mess it up if they take two.

They'll give the bust the job and trade away the future star.

Never underestimate the Browns' incompetence.

I read this yesterday... and i can honestly say I would not blame the browns if they did it.  They have been whiffing on quarterbacks for years. Bring in two guys to compete and trade the left over.

Or bring the two guys in a watch them both bust Browns style.  Set yourself up for #1 picks for the next decade.

Just another way browns will creatively be browns.

hypothetically, would you take a deal from for CAM if the Browns if gave us:

2018 2x 1st picks

2019 1st pick

2020 1st pick

And their pro bowl Guard Joel Bitonio

Even the biggest homer like me would agree to that

They should have just went with the sure thing, snag you Kirk Cousins or someone in FA. Throw them a ton of money and be done with it, Draft Chubb and Barkley. Then grab a rookie QB in the mid rounds of the draft. I think they went about it all wrong. It never has worked out for them, Carson Wentz doesn't happen all the time.

No. They should take whichever QB they want at 1, then get Barkley at 4.

I would actually take Barkley at 1 and then take a QB at 4. No guarantee Barkley is there at 4

Nah, NY will either take a QB or Chubb, and the NYJ will take a QB. Although if Barkley was gone, Chubb would be a nice consolation prize.

    • This season only ends one way... We win this Sunday. Bryce is decent. We take back 1st place...   Only to then get our brakes blown off in the last two weeks.
    • Here's one of the most maddening things, that will be shown in full light over the next three weeks. The same people around here that called Darnold a bum and Mayfield a washed up over draft are also the ones saying Bryce is a catastrophe. Yeah, and I've been one who said Bryce wasn't big enough, brave enough or capable enough. I said back in the day that Darnold had a lot of fight in him and got shouted down. And on Mayfield, heck I didn't know, I just knew we had a very, very bad team that was run terribly. But I saw both of those guys go out there and resurrect their careers and be play-off bound since shaking the Carolina clay dust off their cleats. And we sat there and cat called their cars as they pulled out of the parking lot, laughing at what nobodies they were. Over the next three weeks, those two guys may just serve us sh!t sandwiches and then settle down to their just desserts. And then we'll probably let Bryce go off into the realm of other teams. And when that happens, will we see him coming back, better than before and we're left to re-sit this cycle all over again? Same naysayers, same results, same revolving carousel of ponies and pundits?  Will we end up looking like the Temu version of the San Diego Chargers back in the day watching Drew Brees come to fruition in the previously moribund Superdome while we whiff on a Manning pick just to be jilted for Phillip "Always a Bridesmaid" Rivers?
