To me, the first round sucks.  The QBs are OK and you know they will be there, but I see 10 non QB players who would have been drafted in the first over the past 2 drafts.  I see about 40-50 players who would have been second rounders over the past 2 drafts.

Since we know QBs will go early, I would say the top15 are first round locks.

After signing Poe, watch his ass draft Payne. I just wonder if he's looking heavily at Adams.

Ha.   Sounds like you are like me--preparing to be pissed off.

I think it is possible we trade out, and have to wait until Friday

Hurney said in his presser that he expects a lot of trading between the 2nd to 4th rounds because he feels that is the heart of the draft. Makes me think he is planning on moving around a bit in those rounds. Get the best we can in the first and dont miss in the middle rounds

There's no way. If anything, we're trading up. It would have to be those 17 guys and someone else wanting something for us to trade back. We need an impact day one starter in the secondary. We need someone to franchise that poo. Or Calvin Ridley. I do like the idea of a premiere WR, true #1. Also Derwin James.

I assume 6 is LB Ga - Roquan Smith.  Something is telling me Hurney will go OL at 24.

Ridley, but I am not so sure Courtland Sutton will not creep into the first round--I am guessing Dallas, but a team like New England could bite.

I fear Kirk, suspect Moore.  I am not sure a DB at #24 is worth it.

If Cleveland does not take a QB (there is some rumor they will not but try to trade back into the first round for Jackson, Mayfield, or Rudolph.  Who knows?

However, those numbers aren't exactly stellar by NFL quarterbacking standards. Even though the Panthers backdoored their way into the postseason in 2025 as NFC South champions with an 8-9 record, Young's performance was up-and-down.
