I can't say I really blame DG for avoiding this QB class.

That being said. I have to say I wonder how the DG fanclub here would react if Hurney used back to back top 10 picks on a running back. Especially considering one poster here in particular has railed against overinvesting in the position. I think his handle is frash something.

2019 class right now looking a lot like 2013 tbh. Just a glance at it no one screams surefire hit. Clayton Thorson, who would've been a 2nd-3rd rounder this draft is probably the best QB next year. At least with Darnold you could make the argument he could've been a first rounder last year had he declared early.

Thorston was shooting up draft boards prior to his injury and he probably would have been a first round pick if he hadn't got hurt.

Drew Lock and Justin Herbert will probably be the top 2 QBs next next year, Thorston will fight for third with Nick Fitzgerald.

Edit: Forgot Stidham

Dave grabbed the best player in the draft.

I mean, I'm all about factoring in need but if your option is the best player in the draft vs meh QBs? I think Dave made the right choice.   Even if QB is a need.

I think he's second best after Quenton Nelson, but maybe has more potential. Nelson is basically a complete product now with maybe no improvement.

I liked their pick...  He seems like a good guy and a great talent....

To expand a bit, Eli has appeared worse than he is because he was playing with practice squad receivers last season and the turnstile named Flowers at left tackle. Having Norwell, Barkley, and Beckham, with a new scheme could potnentially make the Giants the primary challenger to the Eagles in the East.

Gentlemen is a personnel guy and has definitely made a formidable offense in a single off-season.

This is the same message board that griped for years about the Panthers investments in running backs.

But an 8th overall selection and a 2nd overall selection used consecutively on running backs is suddenly gravy. Okay lol.
