SI article on Tepper exposes his core values

Our team is gonna be kneeling and dabbing on motherfugers all season now.

I think Tepper’s personality will fit Cam and this team. Our QB was made to win big and do it loudly and in an extravagant fashion. That’s what the article told me about Tepper. I think our players are gonna have a lot more support from the owner and that should make our team play looser and lower some stress when big issues pop up in the future.

There's two things I feel like I can say about Tepper.

One, I do believe he has the potential to be a good owner.

Two, thank God he's not my boss. I get the sense I would absolutely hate working for him.

Maybe, but he'd likely make you a hell of a lot of money.

It’s weird to me how much people care about these things. Even with JR, posters slobbed all over his ‘character’, look how that turns out, should prove you don’t know a man by statements or media bullshit. Unless you’re personally close with him you won’t really know anything. How does his beliefs make any fan like or hate him if he wins and is a good owner?

That said who cares. As a fan all that matters is winning. It’s a product. It’s like going into a grocery store caring what the managers morals and values are to determine if you’ll buy groceries there. Or eating a chef’s food but not deciding if you like it until you think you know their character.

If an actor makes a good movie I’ll watch it and enjoy it as a product. dgaf about their politics beliefs or latest TMZ scandal.

It’s weird. We’re fans. Let’s see some success and good football, wins leading to the SB and enjoy it.

Hadn't seen you around for a bit.

Thoughts on Tepper or the sale?

I was in the Navarro camp, but approve of Tepper as an upgrade over Richardson. Hoping he’s willing to bring in the talent necessary to help us win, regardless of their political stances (Eric Reid). I hope he views this as more of a passion and less of an investment. I do, however, believe it’s not a matter of if he asks for a new stadium, but when. Then I fear tax payers will be burdened (again) for something we have no reason in paying for. This is a private entity who will get public money for an asset that increases his bottom line. I give him 5-10 years before he sells the team as his investment at that point has the potential to lose money. He’s savvy enough to know when to hold ‘em and when to fold ‘em.

Not to make it political, but damn SI couldn't wait to throw Trump's name out there... So much so, his name is the first two words in the article.

Trump has become so big he IS the news. Like a writer could be talking about piss ants in China and all he has to do is drop Trump and it's first page.

Every President in history has gotten the same treatment.. That's what happens when you become President especially when your corrupt .. Hitler and Stalin were very popular as well..lol

Why? Because the guy dislikes Trump he must automatically be for publicly dumping all over our country and our veterans? You do realize the backlash against kneelers started before Trump was elected, right? I know plenty of hardcore anti-Trumpers who HATE the bullcrap "protests".

Who cares ? Not me.  If the panthers win, great......if not, still great.  Dude lives a life none of us can imagine and I don’t care if he likes Trump, Barney Rubble or anyone else.  I’m not gonna get excited for anything until there are consistent trips to the playoffs with a team capable of winning it all.

    • I agree.  I don’t think I have ever been accused of being a Howell fan. No more than fan of some other random QB.   But I watched and I saw. He has some talent. Maybe I didn’t watch close enough to see his weaknesses.
    • He is a pit bull when it comes to that.  And after he missed out last year on Williams, it seems he is trying a different approach, looks like. Don’t hold back. No half measures, because someone will come and full measure your ass. Close the deal. He left a little opening for The Patriots last year.  He closed so far this year. Of what we know about.
    • They have been doing the mercenary one year RB now for a little while. Foreman..  It works pretty well. You can find ball carriers. The passing game trips a lot of those guys up. Pass blocking, route running, they have a lot to know.    Rico wasn’t a great pass blocker but he got in the way most of the time. He is a really good pass catcher.     He’s tough. Needs to find out why he was cramping late in the games. If he can fix that maybe can step up even more. Wish him luck. I think he’ll do well.    If Brooks can be something, what a bonus that would be at this point.  I really believe they went for him because of his extra layer with being a good receiver. And we need more of that with what we are working with trying to move the ball.
