In this case it's the other way around.  Tepper already has the cheddar.   He has the luxury of not needing their approval in order to make money.  The players need his money so he can afford to tell them to take a hike if he so chooses.  They will have to kiss his ass so to speak.  So no, he doesn't need to impress them but it would behove him to at least let them think that he's seeking their approval for the sake of moral anyway.

Hell, that could be said about every owner in the league. Now I do agree that owners don't necessarily need to impress players, but owners are cognizant that without the players, there is no game (and everything that comes with it). So players aren't obliged to kiss owners' asses either. Everyone has a job to do, and it would behoove everyone involved to have good working relationships.

Yes...reassign Mick in our PR department...he is a good man and great ambassador for our team...just lousy play by play guy...Eugene is awful too

Anyone who has read any of your posts the past couple days, fully understands the real reason why you don’t like Eugene Robinson.

    • I agree but he honestly has gotten better about this. Used to be he’d do it like 4-5 times a game, now it’s like 2-3. Overall I’m incredibly happy with his game, his D has been solid and when he is playing his role he’s a solid scorer and one of the few guys who can consistently finish at the rim and provide that threat. Plus he’s electric and LaMelo loves him. Going into the season I was sure he would just be a stop gap here but now I’m reconsidering and could see him continue to be a “core” piece here. Obviously not on the level of the other starters but he is an important cog for this team. We felt his missed presence during his and Moose’s suspensions.
    • Philly will be a bigger challenge than the Knicks were IMO. George and Embiid are back, not sure about Maxey but Embiid alone is a nightmare matchup for us and Moose. We’ve never really done well against him. Celtics added Tatum but honestly not sure they’re all that much better with him right now than they were when we whooped them a few weeks ago. We should be able to at the very least split these 2, hopefully take both.
