Beaston comes home

Jon was such a positive figure in a really dark time for our organization. I think he only got to the playoffs once in 08 and everything went downhill. The same game that Cam shows up he gets a career-altering injury. I absolutely hate it for him.

Glad to see one of my favorite all time Panthers back hanging with the team.  Honestly, he deserved much better.  Injuries changed everything.  Beason was a stud.  Wish nothing but the best for Jon Beason.

Would y’all put Beason over Morgan? Seemed like he had the mental game completely down and was a total field general. Where Morgan was faster and more athletic. Luke has both of their traits.

1. Luke

2. Beason

3. Morgan

4. Mills

5. Draft???

So many great linebackers in Panthers' history. Witherspoon has to be on the list. We lost him to salary cap when we had to choose between him and Morgan. Injuries made it the wrong choice, but what can you do?

If anything, our scouting crews have been some of the best in the NFL at identifying the best LBs to draft.

Early 2013 td , Luke and Beason was the best lb core we ever had

I remember walking into the Ravens stadium in week 3 of the preseason and who do I see stretching out on the field??

All three: Beason, Luke and TD all in sync

Nobody remembers Kevin Greene, Lamar Lathon, Carlton Bailey, Nai’ll Diggs, Lester Towns, Mike Barrow, Greg Lloyd, Hannibal Navies, or Greg Favors? Some of those guys deserve to be on the list... among others...

    • I agree but he honestly has gotten better about this. Used to be he’d do it like 4-5 times a game, now it’s like 2-3. Overall I’m incredibly happy with his game, his D has been solid and when he is playing his role he’s a solid scorer and one of the few guys who can consistently finish at the rim and provide that threat. Plus he’s electric and LaMelo loves him. Going into the season I was sure he would just be a stop gap here but now I’m reconsidering and could see him continue to be a “core” piece here. Obviously not on the level of the other starters but he is an important cog for this team. We felt his missed presence during his and Moose’s suspensions.
    • Philly will be a bigger challenge than the Knicks were IMO. George and Embiid are back, not sure about Maxey but Embiid alone is a nightmare matchup for us and Moose. We’ve never really done well against him. Celtics added Tatum but honestly not sure they’re all that much better with him right now than they were when we whooped them a few weeks ago. We should be able to at the very least split these 2, hopefully take both.
