honestly if we lose Cam we're better off tanking the season to get one of the top prospects, would likely happen without intention to do so

There was a time where DA was one of the top backup QB's in the league. I think our coaching staff realizes DA is done.

Marty might have to trade for a backup QB this year. Steelers have Landry Jones, Josh Dobs, and Mason Rudolph backing up Big Ben.

Rather roll with Gilbert or even sign Matt Moore than give something up. If Cam's out for any extended period the season's over anyway. Just take the high draft position and move forward as someone else mentioned.

Followed DA's career since he started in CLE...Ima closet Browns fan... he had the physical attributes to get the job done... but his decision making in certain big games broke down... He was good for us...but as Scot said...its time to find a another QB as insurance for whatever Cam does....and no Jeff Lewis' or Matt Moores!

As much as he would have made a better starter in years past, I think DA's glory days are behind him and it won't hurt us to part ways. It's a damn shame we couldn't get Lamar in the draft - would've been the best backup in the league and probably a top-15 starter by December. Pretty awful to see the Ravens, of all teams, hit that jackpot.

That was retarded yes but that was on Tolbert. Right off of his chest (though for a poo gain of a yard) into the d-backs hand. Not on DA. 

 

But yeah, DA hasn’t really been good recently, most clearly the TB game in ‘16. I’d be fine with him back as he’s better than whatever scraps are out there now anyways but the reality is if Cam goes down we’re done no matter what. No Foles sitting behind him, nor will there be.
