McCaffrey will disappoint this year

1 Player on Every NFL Team Who Will Disappoint in 2018

The Panthers have a new offensive coordinator in Norv Turner, but per ESPN.com's David Newton, head coach Ron Rivera pointed to McCaffrey's ability to run between the tackles. It's not McCaffrey's primary talent, and it never has been, and an increased portion of the wrong approach won't do anything positive for McCaffrey's future.

Wow, I guess the media is in full click bait mode during the dead season.  They can kiss my ass.  Norv knows what to do with Cmac....he'll have another +1000 yard combined season, and this time he'll break several to the house.

Aahhhh I can't wait.

Yep they are swaying from positive to negative for us.  They will keep swaying just to keep having something to say. All these hacks just have to say something so there are very few that have any credibility beyond being producers of content. I am fine with things that aren't as optimistic about our success but it's clear that many of these guys don't have a clue.

"As a result, McCaffrey gained just 435 yards and scored two touchdowns on 117 carries, and though he caught 80 passes, he gained just 651 yards and scored five touchdowns...his rookie campaign was quite a disappointment".

So, 1086 yards (not including ST) and 7 TD's as a rookie is a disappointment!?! Fug you!

Ultimately, I think Moore will disappoint the most fans. Not because I don't think he'll be good, but because after showing out in camp and having some highlight reels in preseason, the expectstions will be off the charts and an 800 yard season will disappoint many who'll all of a sudden be expecting 1200 since KB had 1000.

    • I mean, I wouldn't classify him as elite, but he is good. Are you arguing that he's JAG? There aren't many elite pass rushers in the league today in my opinion. Carter and Thibodeuax don't seem to be. I mean, come on. Sometimes rushers get to the QB, sometimes they don't. Sometimes injuries slow a player down. I haven't seen Hutchinson enough, but he just got paid like an elite pass rushers, and we all know that Parsons is. Who else is really elite? Crosby and Watt can rain terror, at times.  Hendrickson is good, but a Johnny-come-lately. Other guys seem to be on the same level as Burns. The days of Pep or Reggie White have been gone.
    • With Canales I'm not nearly as concerned about his mismanagement of the RB situation (which you could argue is being overblown to a degree yes) as I am with how woefully inept he is at preparing coaching and managing his team on gamedays against opponents and their coaching staffs with winning records. The team has been blown off the field too many times under his watch now. But I will concede that even if we fire him we will just end up with another figurehead of sorts. It's plainly obvious or at least it should be that our ownership is still meddling and pulling strings.
    • It's definitely not but what he and Darnold and now Jones are all doing does show that if you have a guy who checks a lot of the prerequisite boxes putting them in the right situation can make all the difference. The problem for the folks wanting to apply this logic to Bryce is that little "checks a lot of the prerequisite boxes" issue.
