Kevlin Benjamin Runs Wrong Route vs Eagles in Primetime to lose the Game 2017

Thought it was appropriate to remind everyone of this nugget considering recent events. Against 0 Safety coverage, Benjamin is supposed to run a vertical route and does an inside cut towards the defenses help.

Edit: Starts at 10:05 if the video won't load without going to youtube.

His worst play was when he got stripped by Marcus Peters in the 2016 game against KC. Big ass 6'5'' strong man getting stripped in a crucial moment of a huge game.

Yeah that was outrageous. And on several plays he would just completely give up, either run blocking or tackling someone after a pick... In fact I think in that KC game Peters picked Cam on a ball KB should’ve had then KB just stood there while Peters took it another 20-30+ yards and Cam has to make the tackle...

The day I looked at KB and his place on this team differently.

Or that time against the Bears he fumbled a perfectly thrown ball because he got ousted by a 5’9 corner since he doesn’t play big and contributed to another fluky “pick-six”

Jackson did that. I am surrounded by bears fans they always tell me about that.

I certainly hope this puts to rest the debate about whether or not we should have gotten this cancer off of the team.  Can you imagine paying him 15 million a season to loaf through his routes, eat like a pig and blame everyone else for his shortcomings?  Looks like Marty got this one right.

Yep, that is the play I always think of when I say Benjamin has to be the weakest big receiver around. Guy got outmuscled by DBs half his size on a regular basis

    • Like your sense of humor.  The answers we seek often lies in the question we ask.
    • This is going to be one of the more competitive camps we've had at WR in awhile... The only locks are XL, TMac, and AT. Coker and Horn Jr both have strong chances at making it. I can see David Moore being WR6. Renfrow might be the WR7 if they decide to carry that many, or he could join Dan Chisena on the PS (who gets stashed to help on ST more than at WR).
    • Sure, but I have long acknowledged he got better.  He went from horrific to mid-lower end starter.  But now you can’t say that…..you got people wanting to spin top 10 play if you look at it this way, great deep ball passer if you only acknowledge x.   I mean the headline in that article is nice for fans to run with.   But in reality Bryce Young was not the best deep passer in week 12.  Far from it.  He went 2 of 7 with no TDs deep.  The week was full of guy who went something along the lines of 3 of 4 with a bomb TD.   So Bryce then gets appointed best deep passer for say….plays like a 50/50 jump ball while trailing late to a fully covered AT that goes incomplete but could have been something given how the defender played it….not an actual good play.  But that could have been a good play.  I mean, same play could have been a pick if everything else was the same and the defender who had AT blanketed played the ball better (nothing changes for Bryce in terms of what he did.  It’s just a 50/50ish ball to someone covered)….and his entire best deep passer week 12 is built off plays that never happened over guys that actually got it done.   we should be happy Bryce with from shouldn’t of been drafted play to serviceable starter last year.  But all this spin that he is somehow actually sneaky great just ain’t something I’m doing yet
