This is bad bad bad news.  He sucks but this appears to be something serious.

That wording is very specific.  The "evaluating" the situation and not knowing more means there are tests being done which means it isn't a minor injury.  (assumptions here but it seems to be that way).

Why is this bad news? According to most of the Huddle, this is exactly what they wanted.

See I don't see the news as a necessarily season ending knee injury.

If it were you would hear trainers diagnose a tear on the field and a doctor can confirm it right after.

It sounds like Ron's frustration is with Matt's desire to actually play and contribute.  He's not dumb, he knows everyone is pointing at him as our weak link.  He is going to get paid whether we win or not so my biggest concern right now is his attitude over his health.  If he did tear something, next man up is all we can say.

    • After last season, it was the same question. And the answer most people came to was "If he doesn't make the playoffs, he's gone." He made the playoffs. No matter how it was done, we made it to the playoffs. He's safe. He's going to have a chance to keep working this out, even if next season isn't a playoff one.  I think we'll do better next year than we did this season. There's something being built here.
    • The NBA is a very fickle league. Kon is one of the hottest rookies in years and beyond just his play on the court he is a very steady competitor and that translates to the rest of the team. That has been a glaring absence with the culture of this franchise through the bulk of the LaMelo Ball years that's just being completely blunt and realistic. The enigma of LaMelo Ball is he is entering year 6 and still either red hot or ice cold. We need him to find that sweet spot. Logic dictates the Hornets will want to see this core again next year. But the clock is beyond ticking at this point. It's put up or shut up. Especially considering what the Thunder managed to do recently. I'm hopeful they can keep these wins rolling in and get some much needed playoff experience under their belts which will help substantially.
    • I think as long as the Panthers are competitive with Canales they should keep him. Pepper needs to repair his/the teams image as a place prized free agents aren't hesitant to consider. Just dont do any crazy poo for a few years.
