Kalil dealing with knee injury

A lot of that downfield speed at WRs goes down the drain if your line is too decimated to be able hold a block for more than a microsecond.  Go routes will be  transformed into hitches.

I totally agree that it is time to swing a trade for some line help.  We were thin there even after the draft, but now, particularly if crippled Kalil can't go, it is essential to the function of our offense to secure some additional help on the line.

I wouldn't mind kicking the tires on Tyrus Thompson. He was the LT at OU during Daryl Williams' time there and was nearly universally considered the more talented of the two. Plenty of rumors swirled about work ethic concerns leading up to the draft. We just happen to have a guy who should be able to provide great insight on Thompson on and off the field. Hell, for all I know, Daryl might tell Hurney not to touch the guy with a 10 foot pol

He can't make the Seahawks roster

I don't like using the "He can't make X team" excuse much but like. Their O-line is garbage.

Didn't the Redkins pass rushers suck when we plucked Addison from them?

They had Orakpo still and Ryan Kerrigan heading into his second season.

On top of that we developed Addison for a few years.

Lets deal Kalil to Gettleman for a Bobox to go . No refunds .  I wonder if we can do an injury settlement and find some cap relief , then look for some O-line help .   Better before cut downs and season starts .  We could use some Hurney magic now .

    • After last season, it was the same question. And the answer most people came to was "If he doesn't make the playoffs, he's gone." He made the playoffs. No matter how it was done, we made it to the playoffs. He's safe. He's going to have a chance to keep working this out, even if next season isn't a playoff one.  I think we'll do better next year than we did this season. There's something being built here.
    • The NBA is a very fickle league. Kon is one of the hottest rookies in years and beyond just his play on the court he is a very steady competitor and that translates to the rest of the team. That has been a glaring absence with the culture of this franchise through the bulk of the LaMelo Ball years that's just being completely blunt and realistic. The enigma of LaMelo Ball is he is entering year 6 and still either red hot or ice cold. We need him to find that sweet spot. Logic dictates the Hornets will want to see this core again next year. But the clock is beyond ticking at this point. It's put up or shut up. Especially considering what the Thunder managed to do recently. I'm hopeful they can keep these wins rolling in and get some much needed playoff experience under their belts which will help substantially.
    • I think as long as the Panthers are competitive with Canales they should keep him. Pepper needs to repair his/the teams image as a place prized free agents aren't hesitant to consider. Just dont do any crazy poo for a few years.
