Byrd, Frazier, Barner and Artis-Payne

Well Frazier there is zero discussion. He's headed to PS unless another team snags him.

Byrd I think makes the roster as 6th wide receiver.

CAP and Barner are both fighting for the third and last HB spot. Only one can make it and I'm leaning towards us keeping Barner because Armah can fill the power back role if CJ went down but CAP couldn't fill McC's role if he went down--Barner would be better there. Truly have no idea though, 50-50 toss up.

Rodrigue's final roster prediction includes Artis-Payne and no one else out of this bunch.

Her argument against keeping Byrd or Frazier is that with McCaffrey and Olsen still expected to be Newton's top targets, it makes more sense to use the depth elsewhere.

(it's a valid point)

If you ask me I cut them all except Barner. We need the roster spots for offensive line and secondary depth. Byrd and Frazier would never get a shirt anyway until a starter gets hurt, and I think Barner's special teams ability gives him the nod over CAP who also wouldn't be getting a shirt very often.

A point I agree with.

Although I am a little worried about DJ's disappearance, and Rons stupid decisions to be starting Torrey over Samuel...who he had out there last night.

I'm really starting to get angry about Ron's foolish devotion to broken older players.  Rip off the damn band aid.

I can see limiting Samuel if you're worried about him getting injured.

As  far as who's the better player if both are healthy though?  Yeah, I'd go with Samuel.

I’m only keeping one and I’d flip a coin between Byrd and Barner. Probably Byrd since I’m not sold on the fact that our receiver group can stay healthy.

Frazier is a product of having most of his reps with the backups. He has great rapport with those guys, but that happens every year with a 7-10 receiver on every team.

I feel like CAP is a dime a dozen back. I like what he brings but he’s only a back. No sense in wasting a roster spot on that.
