Got 'em

Ha!

Dude, you just called Matt Stafford a great quarterback. You've got nothing to crow about :)

But like I said, I'm trying not to get into discussions while I'm feeling grouchy. I get too sarcastic and say things I probably shouldn't. Trying to cut down on that. Got enough on my real world plate to deal with today anyway.

Be back tomorrow.  Probably login and read that Taylor Moton broke both his legs :poison:

Huh?  Tony Romo was definitely a great QB (along with, by all accounts, a really good dude).

I know a girl who went to college with him. Said he was a self-important entitled prick. Like your typical sports bro to how he treated women. Only person I know that knew him at all. So take it with a grain of salt. But I also love watching him as an analyst and thought he was under rated as a QB. He was never Dallas' problem.

How many of those came in the playoffs?

(we know it wasn't a significant number because Romo didn't make the playoffs very much)

Lemme flip the question on you. How great a quarterback is Matt Stafford?

Matt Stafford is pretty regularly ranked high in a lot of statistical categories. He also throws a really nice looking pass. The problem? When the pressure is on he wilts like a flower in the desert. In a big game, you don't want your fate in the hands of this guy, no matter how high his passer rating stat might be.

Basically, if Tony Romo is a great quarterback, then so is Matt Stafford.

I'll answer that when you answer my question. If the standard to being a great QB isn't choking in the playoffs, was Marino not a great QB?

Peyton Manning was a dreadful (and I mean dreadful - he had 6 games with a QB rating 71 or below) playoff QB from 1999-2007.  Was he not a great QB during that stretch?

What you have to realize is that the playoffs are full of good to great teams and good to great teams usually have good to great defenses.  Just because a QB has a bad game doesn't mean they aren't great, you just gotta consider the circumstances.  Romo played some damn good playoff teams - Rodgers led Packers, '09 Vikings are forgotten but they were amazing, 07 Giants beat the Patriots and had a pass rush that would stifle any QB.

Mister either slept through the Romo era or doesnt know what dreck means or both. Its humorous to see him try to explain since there is no way Romo was garbage. HOF or not Romo and Prescott aren't garbage .

Nobody can take  someone who says things like this seriously no matter what you think of the a Cowboys.

Lol in what universe is Tony Romo a Hall of Fame player? It sure isn't this one. He was solid but being a solid Cowboys QB does not mean you're a Hall of Famer.

Jake Delhomme was better than Romo.

I don't necessarily agree that he's a HOFer, Hall of Very good definitely, but HOFer is questionable.

And there's no way in hell Delhomme was better than Romo.
